Kamui Tips

How is price wars good business? What does price Wars do to a brand?

MAP(minimum advertised pricing) and MSP(minimum selling point) are good for business and the brand but do very little for the consumer. I've heard the argument that MAP protects the end consumer from buyer's remorse when they see it sold for less elsewhere but that has little credence. Mostly, it protects smaller businesses and dilutes sales. If you let the free market determine the MSP, both the product and the consumer benefit.

just hoping for a solution

OK, I don't know what everyones problem is. Everyone knows that there are just some things that cant be sold cheaper than dealer pricing without consequence.

If you don't believe me, Go to home depot and try to get a John Deer tractor for less than what the dealer sells. - Btw you got no shot.
Go to Best Buy and get an Apple product less than the Apple store. _ Again not thinking you will have any luck.

If they started doing that they would way outsell the dealers faltering their business. Now everyone who works there, guess what Mcdonalds they will be working at(unless someone undercuts the Big Mac as well:wink: )

Now if that were to happen everyone would just have a bidding war and then guess who would have to cut all the cost to keep business going- The Manufacturer(if you can't figure that out I'm sure you will get it now).

Oh whats that one scale of economics, something about cost and benefit:p . Yep eventually the middlemen will want it so cheap it would cost more than it makes which= no business for anyone.

Meaning the nice guys working hard and being honest. They get the shaft. Whilst those who swindle their prices just to make an extra buck take food off this guys family plate. Funny how trying to keep it on yours undercutting dealer standards is killing another honest businessman.

Now if the tips cost too much, whatever, don't get them doesn't sound like your customers will be too happy with paying the price. But I guarantee with the demand for a good product, that there will be customers paying that price.

Now John, a lot of what you were saying about personal life is kinda unprofessional. Now, if you talk to hog riders dealer and he just can't get the price cheaper(through rules of Kamuii and not some dumb computer account), that is one thing. If need be have your dealer do any computer accounts for Hog Rider over the phone. But, you can't bash back at potential customers even when you are upset. I think it sounds like he can increase your business and driving good repor for the Kamuii name. There are so many problems with solvable solutions. Just find one that fits best. That is my rant for today. Merry Christmas and Hanukah(damn however you spell it)

I have dealings with John and have no complaints.
He has been very prompt to reply when I have contacted him.

MSRP is what they are supposed to be sold for. If someone is selling them for less I understand why John wouldn't be happy about that.

When you are in business you price your product in order to make profit. If you can't make money on your selling price you won't be in business for long.

If you don't think the price is worth it there are plenty of less expensive tips on the market but I personally am sold on Kamui's and am happy to pay for them. They last a long time and play great.

Hey, I want to apologize for being unprofessional. I have been at this for 7 years now. When you pour a lot of blood and sweat into your work for so long to get it to this point... It is very hard to not take it personal.

I would never tell a cue maker's cue is carp... not to his face or behind his back. For me it is almost the same feeling since I have made Kamui my life.

I have learned from this. And I have become stronger from it.

I am doing this for the love of the game.

I hope all of you the best. All of you are welcome to call me and chat.

Happy Holidays,
John
