Kangaroo Wrap Question

I am looking to have a Kangaroo wrap installed on one of my cues and have a couple of questions.

1. -Who has Kangaroo wraps and has installed them before?

2. -If the cue I have has a linen wrap on it and I get a Kangaroo leather wrap installed do you have to cut a deeper groove or can you leave it the same?

3. -How much weight difference would a Kangaroo wrap add or subtract to a cue that currently has a linen wrap.

4. - Please post some pictures of Kangaroo wraps you have your cues or ones that you have installed on cues.

You will not have to get a deeper grove cut to install a Kangaroo wrap. Kangaroo is very light and strong, and will weigh a fraction more than the Linen. The thing to remember with Kangaroo is they are harvested from the wild and you need to insist on a piece without any inclusions on the skin.

Kangaroo grip.

I use Kangaroo on my stacked grips. It feels very nice, soft and the thickness
is perfect for a Irish linen substitute. I have at least not turned down the wrap
groove to make them fit. It should however be mentioned that I use a rather
special sticky glue which I apply only on one surface which might compensate
w.r.t the thickness.

My leather source claimed the leather was Kangaroo when I bought it, but I
guess it must be a f@t one since the leather was a long strip of "wire" to
do stacked leather :D Big belly I guess.

Let me clarify my previous statement about thickness. I deal with a supplier that splits my wraps for me. I always request .025 I believe for Kangaroo. The hide is typicaly between .035 and thicker, and will require splitting if you are just buying cut pieces not properly prepared.
 
The precision split vegetable tanned kangaroo wraps that Kenny Koo has and installs is the finest available for cues, IMO. He has stock of premium pieces with very few to no scars. It has a great feel on the hand if you like a smooth wrap. You will not wear through the wrap in a lifetime of play.

How much does genuine Kangaroo wrap cost around $100 to $125? I'm thinking of having one of my cues done in it, who carries it?
