Hi, I found on amazon.com two books from Gerry Kanov, "Precision Pool" and "Pool Player's Edge". I'm not a beginer but I'm still very interested in learning new things. Both books have a section on aiming that seem to be not short. Does enybody have that books? Are that old things about aiming systems that anybody allready knows from other books or is that something usefull that you don't find in other books?

Thanks for your answers

If you're starting a pool library, you should have both of these books (along with books by Fels, Byrne, Martin, Capelle, Fancher, Daly, Alciatore, Eckert, and a bunch of others).

Since I don't know what aiming systems you already know, it's hard for me to say whether the material in the books will be useful to you. They do talk a lot about aiming, and I recall at least one concept I hadn't seen elsewhere.

At least one of the books will be in Borders or similar book stores. You can browse through the book to see if it is interesting to you. The last time I was in such a book store, they had about 12 different books on pool. Also, it's possible that your local library will have a copy.

I have both books and consider them a worthwhile read. I learned a lot from "Precision Pool".

Hi Bob. For me it is not possible to browse through these books, I have to buy them because I'm from Germany and here you will not find books on this subjekt in the book store. That's why I'm asking here. I have allready an aiming system and I'm very happy with that. I don't look for a better aiming system but I'd like to find out some tips that may help me to make more balls. Some stuff that you will not find in books by Byrne, Martin, Capelle and Eckert. These are the books I have. And I just thought Kanov would tell more about this because the section on aiming is big.
