Any info out there on this one, please?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Thank you!I feel strongly it is Kao. The splice and veneers match others.
It would be nice if we could nail down that logo though.
Edit: I just looked closer, those look like butted veneers, not mitered. All the Kao cues I have are mitered.
I'm on my phone and will try to get a look on my big monitor later.
Yes, wood screw. Is the bumper just held on with a wood screw?
I also wonder if that butt wood is stained or painted. Might be able to tell something about that under the bumper.
Definitely an inexpensive cue, but a bit mysterious. I like it.
I I had to say right now, I would say Kao.
Thanks.Yes, wood screw.
In hand, it looks like rosewood to me.
With that pointed pin, I would agree.Adam.
You won't' find it in any Adam cue files. I've seen Adam cues that looked more like a Paradise cue, because they were very early. I wish I'd taken a picture of Dick Helmstetter's early cue, when I had the chance. I would swear it was a Paradise, but it was a Helmstetter. Not everything is in the pamphlets.Yeah the pointed cue says Adam. But the rest of it?
I can't find the cue in my Adam files.
When Jayman says Adam I have to defer.
What model?
I have more than just Adam cue catalog files. I have hundreds of pictures in my files (thousands actually). You won't' find it in any Adam cue files. That's close as well. Nice looking cue, by the way.I have more than just Adam cue catalog files. I have hundreds of pictures in my files.
And I have more than just Adam cues with pointed pins, both in my picture files and in my collection.
1960's Mali cues had pointed pins for example.
I feel there is a strong chance this is a Rich cue actually.
This is a Rich cue. I own it.

Thanks. Here is another picture of it. A Model 20 224 Yankee. Damn near perfect original condition. That's close as well. Nice looking cue, by the way.
Good looking cue. It looks like a player. I see it in the picture as well. The dark ring above the buttplate reminds me of when Joss went to that. I don't know why, but they did that for the plain birdseye or curly maple cue beginning in 1984. I don't see too many wrapless there except for a couple, which makes me think the OP's cue is an Adam. I may have to haul out my catalogs, but it looks more Adam to me.Thanks. Here is another picture of it. A Model 20 224 Yankee. Damn near perfect original condition.

It very well could be Adam.Good looking cue. It looks like a player. I see it in the picture as well. The dark ring above the buttplate reminds me of when Joss went to that. Yep, me too. For either Adam or Rich, I'd like to see a better bumper on the cue, but it is what it is.It very well could be Adam.
But I haven't found it.
I also know I don't have all the Rich catalogs and fliers. I have post cards for Rich back to the 1960s and catalogs up to the early 80s I think.
But I know I don't have them all.
Cue makers like Rich used Adam splices in the 70's, then later imported entire cues.
I would really dig it if we could ID this exact cue. It is very similar to some Rich, some Kao, and some Adam.
Then there is that logo. An obvious "K".
With a 3 point crown.
Personally, I really dig chasing this.
