Man, that thread saw some action... 154 posts in less than 24 hours.

You are Right there Flex! As in absolutely correct! The crazies were crawling out of the woodwork on that one. ;) I decided a few days ago not to post in the NPR so everybody is safe for the time being.
I hope you have a wonderful Easter tomorrow. I like Sunrise services myself. Last year I almost froze to death on a mountain outside of Frederick, MD.
Peace, Purd :)

The number of posts wasn't as surprising to me as the number of Views.
Over 5,100 views in a day..... Oy-Vey !

That's all right man. Some people are just dogged down in the ego's dogma. We got our own damn Jimmy Swaggart on here.

The ego always compares itself to others in order to find some superiority.

Anytime you feel inferior or superior to anybody, it is always your ego.

Let it be, let it be brother.

Now, Now , Now Smorg, how many time I got to tell ya this;

Name-calling is a form of ad hominem attack that draws a vague equivalence between a concept and a person, group or idea. By linking the person or idea being attacked to a negative symbol, the propagandist hopes that the audience will reject the person or the idea on the basis of the symbol, instead of looking at the available evidence.

Besides that, I Resemble That Remark!
Peace bro, Purdman:)

That's an understatement! I felt like saying a few things to a certain individual on that thread but decided it just wasn't worth it.

Thank you very much. It's easy, all you have to do is seek the truth within. God bless the guy, he is trying. I guess it's just easier to except what somebody tells you about God than having a personal experience with the God of your understanding. There have been quite a few enlightened people who have tried to point the way. Language can not fully describe God. You can point at the moon but that ain't the moon.
Peace, Purdman :)

Purd, almost every time you post, you throw in your brand of religion. And you see nothing wrong with it at all. But every time a christian states what he believes, you are one of the first to jump on the bandwagon saying it doesn't belong here. If his or mine doesn't, neither does yours or anybody elses.

That just plain ain't true Neil. There is a difference between religion and spirituality sir. I accept every mans religion. My only problem is people who think they are the only ones who God loves and the rest are going to hell. I do not like the literal interpretation of the Bible. Yes, I read it every day. It is full of the truth along with a whole lot of ego infused exclusion. Jesus said to love one another brother, not to hate and judge. As a matter of fact, he said not to judge one another. He said not to murder, I guess that don't count either. Most Christians that I know support the war in Iraq. They want to call murder "collateral damage". If a man ask for your shirt, you are suppose to give then your coat also. Most people today are worshiping the golden idol (money) in case you haven't figured that one out for yourself. We all came from the same source and we will all return to it.
Peace, Have a Wonderful Easter Neil, Purdman :)

lol, you bring up the war in Irag in every other post and call it murder. The soldiers over there are fighting for our freedoms just as in every other war. It is literally gonna take another crazy man bombing the shit out of a major US populated center for all of the liberal war haters to come out of their fantasy world. The minute we soften up on those goddamn suicide bombing, US hating, towel wearing idiots is the minute they will step up their efforts to go after something on US soil.

neil is right - purely speaking the word religion means way of life. and in most of your posts you're preaching and lecturing your beliefs and views of the world - from a horse just as high as the ones you say the christians are on when they are preaching.

my problem is some people act so outraged and offended by christians stating their beliefs and take the moral high ground, yet do just as bad if not worse themselves. in that very last post you made one hell of a statement - you're saying most christians that you know aren't bothered about murder and lightly dismiss it as another term, collateral damage. that really is quite a thing to say.

There's not as much difference as you seem tothink there is. Your religion, which is a belief system, happens to be spirituality. Happy Easter to you too.:)

Not. Big difference between spirituality and religion. I also have no problem with the religion of others, but when they start spouting the hell and damnation bullshit, and it is bullshit, Neil, that's where I draw the line. I don't try to tell anyone else their religion is wrong, but I'll damn sure till 'em it ain't mine.

Not. Big difference between spirituality and religion.

there are two definitions of the of word religion. strictly, it means way of life. think about various phrases we use for example. he practices his pool religiously, for example. in other words, it's a way of life.

there are a few huge, organised, long running ways of life like christianity, islam, buddhism etc. we call them religions, as they are. but a lot of people forget this is not the only meaning of the word. so, someone being 'spiritual' is just as much as a religion as a christian.
