Hotel Availablity is almost gone

Any players looking for hotel stay for this week please read.....

Baymont has 3 rooms left, I am in communications with Hampton and Fairfield Inn and will know more today. Please book your rooms as soon as possible as there are little to no rooms left in Battle Creek for this event.

We will also have a local cue repair man on site that Jamie uses all year long that is reputable. This will also be the last weekend that I will have Fury Cues for sale, sorry still no Jumbreak Cues.

I can send you a couple of dozen SLEDGEHAMMER Jumpbreak Cues for you to sell at the tour stop. They are by far the best original Jumpbreak cue on the market today.

laugh

:D Thanks for the laugh! When you surface you always put a smile on my face. However, I am sure there will be plenty of cues available to the players by the room owner this weekend, I am not sure of his opinion on the sledge I suppose I could always have him contact you. BTW are you now the advocate for the sledge?

Fury Jump Break Cues are now available in a limited supply. Perhaps Sledgehammer should provide the title sponsorship of a tour. Then they could be advertised as SOLD OUT like the Fury JBs.

:-) Have a great day.

Just out of curiosity, what are your criteria that encourages you to make the claim that the Sledgehammer is the best jump/break cue "by far"? As one who has a pretty extensive amount of experience in this area of the industry I have not found the Sledgehammer to be the "best" as judged on several criteria that I have.

Some questions I have are does it jump better than other cues? Which ones and how much better? Does it break better? What method of testing this was used to achieve the results if so? What cues was it tested against to arrive at your claim?

Or, did you mean to say that, in your opinion, the Sledgehammer is the best JB on the market?

In my opinion, it is a very good cue and one of the top JBs on the market. Not a lot better or worse than others. In my opinion, the very best JB is the Bunjee Blaster. My opinon is based on over seven year's experience with all the cue brands mentioned, head-to-head tests, hundreds of players taught, and thousands of cues sold.

They are sold out most likely cause they are made for 6 cents a piece in some third world country and the boat has been slowed up this month. You know, it's fireworks season and space is limited on the trade ships.

Hundreds of players taught and thousands of cues sold? And you still have time to post on this board?

Anyways, read from the website above. Lifetime guarantee and made right here in the USA.

I'm sorry, "where" are the Sledgehammer cues made again? I am sure Mike Gulayassy will be thrilled that YOU opened this can of worms.

How is it that you have a "couple dozen" of "the best cue" for sale? Wow, demand must not exceed supply for the "best" cue.

Inquiring minds want to know?

So you are basing your statement on what the website says? The guy who makes them is claimng that they are the best and all you can do is parrot him? Bunjee claims they are the best, Tom Simpson claims the one they sell is the best, so why don't you claim they are the best? Could it be because YOU have "a couple dozen" to sell?

Have you ever actually truly compared any of the jump breaks on the market in any kind of fair and logical test? Or, are you just a wannabe who runs after the first new thing you see that you think you can make a few bucks on? Just asking. I would expect you to be able to back up your statement with a little more than the website says so.

As for the lifetime guarantee, that's admirable. Guiseppe cases have a lifetime guarantee as well and they are still pretty far from being the best case on the market. Tell you what, buy a Fury JB for $350 and I'll give you a "lifetime" guarantee for it. As it stands right now though EVERY PERSON that has ever purchased a FURY JB and has had any kind of a problem with it has been taken care of satsifactorily. We don't have any plans to start screwing anyone over the cues so I guess the consumer is pretty well covered.

John

I have a player that had one of the other so called best made JB but gave it up as soon as he used the Fury JB. He couldn't wait till the next time he broke. Now he won't use anything else and is very proud of the changes he made by getting the Fury JB.
I, myself had never been able to jump a ball till Fury JB was put in my hand and one pocket chump worked with me. I really and truly believe that it made a difference. I won't use anything else except a Fury JB now.

P.S. That's right, hundreds of players taught and thousands of cues sold. Past tense. Comprehension and basic reading skills are a good thing to have when debating on these forums. I suggest you aquire some before engaging me. I understand there are several good adult education institutions in the country. You can even take classes online.

Now, I don't want to be too harsh because I understand that you don't know me and you are probably fairly ignorant of my background. I helped to create the "Bunjee" jump cue and brought it to the USA. Since 1998, I have done dozens of shows and tournaments where I give jump exhibitions and lessons. Most notably, the BCA/VNEA/APA tournaments in Vegas annually. So, I feel that with that experience and the fact that I have, in fact, compared publicly just about every brand of jump and jump/break cue out there, I know what I am talking about on this subject.

If those aren't enough credentials for you then I propose we set up a little gamblng match. I understand you are a betting man. I will bring four brands of jump/break cues and you bring the Sledgehammer. We will set up ten jump shots and pick three neutral players of different skill levels. Each player will shoot the ten shots with each cue and the results will be tallied. Then each player will break ten times with each cue. The balls will be racked with a Sardo. If the Sledgehammer wins then I will give you $5000. If it loses then you give me $5000. I will pay the expenses either way.

I may not be too bright on this one but it sounds to me like you would be getting 4-1 on the money with this propostion. If ANY of the cues numbers were to surpass the Sledgehammers', you would win. Am I misunderstanding this?

John, I know plenty about you. More than you care for anyone else to know but since you replied in such an adult manner I think I will join in the fun.

John Collins, correct? Used to own Instroke cases? Used to is the key here. What happened? Either you (1) didn't sell enough cases, (2) sold lots of cases but then squandered all your money with your gambling habit or (3) got taken when you sold the company so now you work for someone else. The someone else being Fury and are like their little puppet doing what you are told. The owner of Fury has lots of money....hope he pays you well to make you work for him after you stopped working for yourself. Why didn't you retire with all the money you must've made 'selling thousands of cues' and then selling your business. Shall I keep looking in the 'can of worms' as you like to say. Lets see...OH, and when you were with Instroke you cheated a friend of mine out of $300 by never sending him a cue he ordered so he just walked up to your booth at a show, asked for his money, and when you didn't give it up....he took one of your cases and you just stood there. Shall I keep going? Sure, why not? Sledgehammer used to be made overseas but are now made in the USA, by McDermott I believe. Tell us Johnny, where are Fury cues made?? I won't wait for your answer. They are still made overseas in some third world factory for pennies. Am I correct? Lets look down in this can of worms some more. Yes you can give jump exhibitions but lessons in pool in general, I think not. Care to play me some? We can play some 9 ball....NO JUMP CUES ALLOWED. Ha. I'm just a pitiful C player, but I will try you some.

I don't know about your offer of gambling for $5000 on jump and break shots by neutral players. Too many variables. I say we do this...at the next Pro tournament, I will pick a player that uses a Sledgehammer break cue and you can pick a player that uses a Fury break cue (if there is one???). We can bet $5000 that the player I pick goes farther in the tournament.

Not at all, you understand it perfectly. The "best" should be able to beat all comers right?

And, as usual you seek to misdirect the debate. But, since you don't know when to quit I'll play till you give up.

1. I used to own Instroke and I sold it. You don't need to know why but it had nothing to do with gambling or lagging sales. I got out of it just fine and now I "work" for Scott Taylor because I can focus on creating great products rather than worrying about the whole company. I am just not that bright of a businessman that I can run a company.

2. What the hell are you talking about? I never took anyone's $300 and had them "take" a case from me at a booth. If I ever owed anyone anything then it was paid for. Whatever situation you are talking about is certainly NOT the way you are representing it here. Why don't you name names so we can get the REAL story? I certainly never had someone order a cue and not send them the cue unless there was some good reason. And even then I would have worked with them to resolve it. So let's hear the details before you make more baseless accusations. You are a real piece of work.

3. Are the Sledgehammers that were made overseas also the "best"? How do we know the ones you have are the ones made here? How can you tell the difference? How about the consumers who were never told that the Sledgehammers they bought were made overseas? Did you ever sell any of the ones made overseas? Did you tell the customer? Nah, I didn't think so Mr. Ethics. Next time you want to wrap yourself in the flag make sure you wash yourself first so you don't soil it.

4. The bet. Yep, that's what I thought. You have no gamble to back up your mouth. Sure, I'll play you without a jump cue. You need it more than me. I was beating on suckers like you without a jump cue before I started selling them and I won't have any problem beating you now. Think you can get your nit ass down to North Carolina to play some? Oh I know, I have to come to St. Louis, blah, blah and I can bet as much as I want and yada, yada, yada. Tell you what. Lets make a date in North Carolina and set up an amount. I'll paypal the amount to Mike Howerton and you do the same. Whoever doesn't show up loses the money. I don't care that you have completely gotten off the subject of your ludicrous claim that the Sledgehammer is the "best" and the how we are oppressing poor Mike. Whatever it takes to get a nit like you to the table is fine with me. Not only has the truth come out but I get to pummel you on the pool table. That's a good day. But, you won't show up. So happy crawfishing.

5. The pro bet. You have a bet. I'll take Kelly Fisher. Who are you taking? How much do you want to bet? Come on now, belly up and show some gamble.

Any takers on how ludicrous his response is?

John Barton - by the way I go by my REAL NAME. What's yours?

watchez-this site you put up only shows that zigzag could not locate John to get the return of the item. Seems to me if you look at the whole thing it shows that John did contact him and let him know how to contact him explaining that he had been out of town and did not get the instroke mail any more. It just showed that John once made aware of the situation was trying to correct it. So what is your point? It seems that you have none since all that you have written goes from one subject to another and you ramble an awful lot about things you know nothing of. I'd like to see you take John up on that bet. In fact I will travel to North Carolina to watch. You or John can let me know when and where. In fact I'd like to go ahead and let you know that I will bet on John. And its not because of Fury because I knew John prior to Fury. Its because of your lack of real knowledge and statements. I know John and he's a man of his word. If he says he took care of something then you can know that it was.

Kay..at this point, you trying to help John doesn't hold much water. Jennifer & others have already made your background perfectly clear. You should put all your efforts into cleaning up your tour and its image. You should read the PM's I am receiving from people thanking me for pointing out the problems of a tour like yours. Too bad most people don't have the backbone to post for all to see. I don't plan on traveling to North Carolina anytime soon (unless someone can get me tickets to a Duke-North Carolina basketball game). But I will be in southern Florida in the beginning of September. Your boy John makes little sense....and in fact kind of bores me. That is why I haven't responded to his posts. He says I have no gamble since I didn't except his bet on a test of jump cues. Be real. So if I call him out on a gamble and he doesn't agree to the rules (no matter how stupid and thoughtless) then what? And who is Kelly FIscher? Never heard of her/him. But I bet a break cue of any kind wouldn't make a difference in her pool game. Bet on a MEN's Pro that plays with a Fury break cue. $5000 open.

Get your facts straight

You don't have all the facts on the tour issues in that area. I have several other divisions that run without any problems for the TD's or the players so maybe that should give you some insight to the real problem up there. Oh wait a minute....I forgot you don't have insight do you and since you undoubtly have never been to one of my events how can you judge anything. If any one has any concerns all they have to do is contact me so all I have is your word which....hmmm....since I don't know you I won't be able to make a good judgement on that. Since you don't know me or my tour then you shouldn't judge that either. But I guess you are the judge and jury??? Face it you are factless on more than one issue here. Need to get your facts straight there Buddy. You already proved John's point with your website link that he did nothing wrong and you won't take his bet. That clears up a lot for me. So what we have here is that your issues don't hold water.
