I bought one a while back just to try out. For the money, I thought that it was pretty good. Not great, but good. I sold it to a guy for his first cue. He is happy with it.
I bought one on eBay -- 6 points with cocobolo -- with the idea I'd use it as a break cue. I already had a Meucci and the "Southwest style cue" they were offering was something I wanted to try. Came with two shafts, got it for $100.
Very pretty cue. Stiff as a brick, too stiff for my tastes, especially at the time. Was difficult for me to get action on the cue ball, most likely due to the dynamics of the shaft, and my rather limited stroke. Actually, it was a bear to shoot table length stop shots, where the object ball was hanging on the lip of a corner pocket.
With a modest retapering of the shaft, the cue can really perform however.
After I retapered one of the shafts, the cue could do amazing things. Very sweet, soft hit. A friend of mine who has a number of cues, a Schuler among them, prevailed upon me and offered me $250 for the cue with two shafts. Although I didn't really want to sell it, I let him buy it. He loves it.
So there you have it.
I might just buy another one...
