Keith,

I noticed someone posted in another thread that you play Gin for money. Have you ever played Stu Ungar, and if so, can you give us any info on how it went? (Even though I already KNOW how it went if you played Stu, lol)

Also, if anyone else has played Stu, feel free to give us a story.

Smorg,

I wouldn't suppose you'd be playing him all that soon.

He's dead. As you perfectly well know, because you frequent rec.gambling.poker.

Hey pogue.........you play poker online anywhere?

I bought into the $100 NLHE at Paradise about a year ago. Started with $200, worked it up to about $1000 after a week, then lost my discipline and stayed up about 6 hours later than I should have one night, and dropped it all back.

I'll probablyy start playing again when I have more time, after I finish up this semester of college. I also played PLO.

I think both are fairly simple games, and pretty easy to win at if you have good discipline and can keep the greed checked.

I learned how to play NLHE at www.pokerschoolonline.com. I got kicked off the site for exposing some of the untruths the owners were feeding the customers..

(Been trying to get Smorgass Bored to invite me as a "resident fish" to his local game, but so far, has not panned out.)

I put 60.00 on UltimateBet.........cashed out 500.00 in a week. Then cashed out 150 or so.......been up and down since. Right around 200.

NEVER and I mean NEVER play online poker at sunshine poker.com........... I played on the site for about three months, I was probably about $300 loser over the span of three months. I bought in one night for $50 and run it up to close to $200. I saw another site on TV with better tournaments, so I went to cash out my $200. Guess what? I still have yet to receive a Check. That has been about 6weeks ago.

I have emailed them and they said they had a problem with their system and they would send me a check. That was over a month ago and still NO CHECK. I have emailed them again on several different occassions and now they will not respond to me. I am truly disgusted with these cocksuckers!

The moral of this story..............
Do not play poker at SUNSHINE POKER .COM
If you win, you cannot get paid!

I used to watch Stuey play, and he's the greatest gin player that I have ever seen. He did things with cards that I've never seen gin players do in my whole life.

I like to play gin for enjoyment, and I have been known to play for money, but Stuey was a little bit out of my league.

Heh Heh..

From what I've heard of Stuey, he was out of EVERYONE'S league. Kinda scary playing against a guy that can tell you all the cards left in a ten deck shoe, after half of the shoe has been dealt.

Well, it wasn't THE big one, but it was A big one. At the crack of dawn Sunday, I was rushed to the hospital with congestive heart failure. I'm back home now, but I'd have to say that it was 'touch and go' (I kept touching the nurses and they told me to GO). I need to have open heart surgery to replace the aortic valve. I intend to have the surgery, but I'm putting it off for awhile (while I get my house in order). I may have to give up the strenuous game of one-pocket and become a CHAMPION POKER PLAYER. Yeehaaaaaaaaaaa !

I never know exactly what to make of these posts, whether they are serious or not.

I’m fairly confident about the inappropriate touching but not quite sure about the heart surgery. If in fact you do have surgery, I truly wish you the best Smorg. My son had open-heart surgery (Ross procedure) at age 3, basically removing the aortic value and replacing it with his pulmonary value and then using a donor value in that position. And he recovered in five days, it also didn’t have any adverse affects on his one-pocket game.

PS - I think the newest development in values is Goretex.

My wife works for five pediatric cardiologist and they do some wonderful work. You ain't going no where until you is suppose to go. Maybe a wake up call. I had a colonosnopy Monday, the doctor told me she had good news and some bad news for me. I said,"what's the good news", and she told me she found my missing gerbal, so I asked her what the bad news was and she said," my gerbal was dead". Dam !!! Told me she didn't find no brain either. Said she found a pileup in there, I told her I never knew there was anybody driving around in there. About that time she said, shut up Mr. Purdy. I told em I was at the #10 level of pain,(the highest level there is) before they even started. She didn't like that neither.
On the serious side, I hope you don't leave before I show you who the worst nine ball player in the world is. A lot of people are trying to take my CROWN away. Kind of like Ervin, the 132nd fastest cowboy in the west. Spent every waking moment looking for 133. Town folk said "Ervin, tomorrow morning we gonna need your gun". The next morning, Ervin's gun was there but Ervin was gone.
God Bless, Don P.

Smorgass Bored, I hope you move swiftly and make the right decisions. When I'm down there in Tampa sometime, I want to meet you. I've heard nothing but nice things about you from JAM.

You're pretty smart. The part about the nurses was joke. The part about being rushed to hospital and needing valve replacement is true. I tried looking up 'Goretex' and 'valve replacement'online and all I came up with was a product or fabric that is bonded to nylon in sportswear. Is this the stuff ?

Well,I've heard and read some not so nice things about you and your lifestyle, but I don't care. I like you ANYWAY. Except for the fact that I don't/can't play within 10 balls of your speed, much of the rest of your life and mine match up pretty closely (and I ain't SO bad.... imo) I look forward to meeting you (and maybe JAM) on your next trip to this area. regards, Doug

Our long running poker game is filled with amateurs and we're not too sure about inviting a player of your caliber and poker skills to feed at our trough. OTOH, if you promise to play poker like you play one-pocket, we may send a cab for you... imo

It’s probably similar. Goretex has been used in cardiovascular surgery for over 20 years, but until recently (maybe 3yrs) valves couldn’t be made out of it. Anyway, here is a site that shows some products, but unfortunately no valves.
