Keith Josey cues

I would like the opinion of this forum on Keith Josey cues. Does his cuemaking compare with scuggs, capone, mottey and most of other great cuemakers I read about.

The answer to that question IMHO is a resounding YES. Keith makes a great cue and is very nice person also. I purchased a cue from Keith and his wife Sherri. They could not have been nicer to work with. You can call Keith and speak to him about building a cue to your exact specs. Keith and Sherri are at the top of the class in the billiard industry.

Love his cues. They hit a ton and the workmanship is second to none. His prices are also pretty reasonable. I've e-mailed with Josey a little bit, and he and his wife seem like they're very good people to do business with.

keith's cues are great! i've played with one since 1989
i have alot of cues,cog,dayton,black boar.phillipi,dominiak
early adam etc . they all are good cues, they all have their
own personalities, but i always go back to the josey
you can't go wrong with a josey!

Ive yet to play with a Josey but I hear alot of great things about his cues. Im would like to own one of his fancy sneaky pete.. I wonder if the sneakies will hit/feel like his regular cues.

well dooo i've never hit with one of his s/p's , but mine with a s/s joint hits stiff
and has a high quality finish

Now don't throw tomatoes, I'm going to tell the truth. I like Keith Josey's cues a lot. The NEWER Josey cues are fine. His workmanship is excellent. His designs are attractive and I would say, truly unique. His older cues were pretty thick through the handle, so to me at least, they felt kind of funny.

I have a Josey that I really like owning, but I don't really love playing it. Does it play as well as the greats - a Scruggs, Mottey, or Josswest? I would say... no. These makers make more of a players cue than Josey does. (Sorry Shawn Putnam). My Josey doesn't have the hit, balance, or feel of the others. But that's why they're the greats and he will be one day...

I think Josey's Sneaky Pete's are cool.

Chris
