Kelly Fisher Era May Have Started!

She lost a 10 ahead to Derek Leonard in 1and a half hours. I'm sure the Kelly Fisher era is here! LOL

era ...

When you switch from snooker to Pool, you do not gain the knowledge needed to be a consistent challenger to the top people in 4-6 months. It takes time and experience before you can get there.

Yup, she did - after sitting in a chair for over 3 hours waiting for Derek's poser backer to show up. Bring your money to the rematch if you are so confident that he can dominate her.

Where was your comment when she beat Abernathy?

Derek played excellent pool, had the break dialed in AND got the rolls. Happens all the time when a player gets going. Kelly also played excellent, getting out almost every time she had a decent shot and many times when she didn't. She just couldn't overcome the breaks and the constant three packs Derek was hitting her with.

Do you want to bet the outcome would be different with alternate breaks? How about if Derek gives up the breaks? They weren't THAT confident that Derek is SO MUCH better because they wouldn't adjust AT ALL with the breaks OR ANY OTHER SPOT AT ALL.

I'll tell you what. You come down and bet all you want to against Kelly playing the 10 ball ghost. She gets the break and ball in hand after the break. Races to nine. You can stack the cash against that game if you think she can't play.

Just bring it - and then we'll see how many comments like this that you make on this board.

How about forget Derek and I just come play her some?

Well, since you have her game clocked, I mean she can't even beat Derek Leonard, why don't you offer her a fair spot to start out with and we'll adjust from there? She's just a girl after all and we all know they can't play.

You think about for a while and get back to me. When you do I'll ask Kelly if she has the time and inclination to play you.

i'll play her even on the 9footer and she can get the 8 on the bar table

From what I hear you are a better player than Derek. So you need to come off some more weight than that. If it's out of line then we'll adjust.

We'll take the 7 on the big table and the 7-8 on the bar table. IF Kelly even wants to play on the bar table, which is doubtful.

You can get weight on the 6x12 English Snooker table at snooker.

Hi, VAP! Happy Memorial Day weekend. Hope you do something enjoyable and get out of the cockpit for a few hot minutes! McCreesh told me there is a Hampton Ridge tournament this Sunday at Comet Billiards in Parsippanny, New Jersey: Hampton Ridge Tour website. Ryan's going, and we're thinking about it; the only deterrent, holiday traffic on the New Jersey Turnpike! :(

We ran into Julie Kelly and Karen Corr a short time back, and I point blank asked Julie, "What's the story with this Kelly Fisher player from England? She's shooting the lights out, and she just got here." Julie, in her wonderful Irish brogue, replied that all the snooker players play 9-ball GREAT when they first come over to the States, and both Karen and Julie seemed to have a great deal of respect for Kelly's game.

Having said that, though, I think Las Vegas is one of the worst places to host a pool tournament for SOME players, especially those who are inclined to play games of stake, whether it be pool, poker, craps, slots, OTB, et cetera. Each time I have been to a casino hosting a pool event, some players seem to have their mind on the action pits instead of the pool pits. Not all players, but just some! JMHO, FWIW!

Yeah- In Vegas Basavich was playing JJones and a bunch of guys were trying to get a bet even up on Basavich. Turns out they had seen JJ at the Wynn every nite until the wee hours and then some. He lost.

I dont think you will see much traffic sunday on MM day weekend is aways slow unless the weather had turned real nasty.
