Ken Higgens who was a personal for many years passed away from a Heart Attack on 19 August 2009. For those who knew Ken this is a very sad day, and 3-Cushion Billiards has lost a Friend to all who knew him and a Loyal Supporter of 3-Cushion as a Sport in America.
Ken played in almost all of the USBA sponsored tournaments in the Northwestern USA, including the USBA Nationals events during the last 10 years. Ken also worked at many events as a Referee and Score keeper when his assistance was needed. Ken was also involved in some of the Carom Corner events that brought World Champion Players to the USA for Competition at the Tacoma Elks Lodge.
Apparently Ken was already hospitalized when he suffered the Massive Heart Attack that took him from us. Everyone will have their own favorite memories of Ken as he was one of the most genuine people I have every met in my life. To my knowledge Ken was well liked by everyone that ever met him and his passing will truly be a great loss for many and the entire sport!!!!!!
Rest in Peace Ken
