Traded some cues for this cool amboynia burl Kent Davis cue.
I was told this was his last ivory cue
The third shaft is one of his LD shafts but I've been playing with the regular shafts and the cue plays fantastic.

This is my fourth Kent Davis cue, and all of them were as perfect as a cue can be from a fit-finish & playability standpoint.

Ooosh, heavy hitter. Put it in the burl thread!

I didn't know about the burl thread, I'll look for it.
Somewhere I saw where Kent Davis was referred to as The King of Burl

This cue is quite a player.
I never played with the other Kent Davis cue I had, and sold them quite easily.
This one is similar in design to many other cues I'm hanging on to, fits my collection nicely, and decided to just play with it.
Easy to get used to, I love the taper and it's just a great cue to play with.

This cue has striking looks....a gorgeous cue design.
I'm not a fan of ivory points but this cue does look great.

I'm not a big fan of ivory points either unless they have veneers, like this one.
Sometimes ivory points by themselves just don't look like right from a negative space standpoint.
I think the best at it without veneers is Joe Gold, and with veneers obviously I'm partial, but I also like Chris Nitti's ivory points with veneers.
