Kent Davis cues

I just received a new Kent Davis cue from Martin at Western cues tonight. It was the black ash burl merry widow from his site, if any body has been on there. I have about two hours of play on it tonight. Kent says it has a purpleheart core. The cue is balanced very well and has a very solid hit. Hit is subjective I know, But I would call it stiff. This is exactly why I bought the cue. The finish is very nice. Polished to a mirror finish. Ring work is very good. The overall fit and finish of this entire cue is excellent. I think the quality of this to the value is about as good as it gets. I bought this to be a player and it does that. I was very pleased with the customer service provided by Martin as well as Kent on this cue deal. I spent two days with questions before I finally bought the cue and they very gracious about providing answers and willing to change anything I wanted changed. Martin put aleather wrap on this cue and Kent changed one of the tips to an everest. These are two great guys to deal with and I think Kent is making as good as there is out there.

Thank you both
Chuck

Thanks for the good words Chuck! Glad the cue arrived without a problem. You can see the purpleheart core if you look where the joint pin goes into the forearm. Thanks again.

Congrats on your new KD cue! That's a beautiful cue you have. I'm a happy, new KD owner myself. Two thumbs up for Kent and Martin!

Two thumbs up for the Customer service you received. Very refreshing to hear a Business Man and a Cue Maker willing to go above and beyond the needs of a buyer.
