Anybody here know how to reach Kent Davis, not returning my texts lately, wonder if anybody has heard from him? I PAYED for a cue almost three years ago and still haven't gotten it. I'm not terribly worried about getting the cue, just would like some feedback from Kent, and he's gone off the air on me.

Regarding Kent

I shot him a text on the phone number I have, if he responds, then I will PM you the number. That site is old and not updated.
And, believe me you,,,, It took me almost 4 years to get my cue, so you are on track in getting yours! :p :p :p

Thanks, he called, I really appreciate it, glad to hear I'm not unique in a build taking a BIT longer than I thought.

Waiting over 3 years for a paid for up front cue is crazy. I know a guy that is a one man shop custom sailboat builder that does way better than that,

cue

Just my opinion I would never wait that long for a cue from anybody don't matter how good the builder is.

There's no reason to wait that long if you have already paid for the cue.....doesn't matter whom the CM is.

If the CM has a waiting list, that's entirely different, for example, Joel Hercek's list is a dozen years....Yup.

In fact, Joel has a hold on any new cue orders since his annual production is only 20-25 custom cues.

Other than elite name cue-makers, like Joel, BB, Mobley, Szamboti, Searing, Manzino, Prewitt, JMW, et al,
that have significant lead time resulting from order backlog, there isn't any reason to wait that long....IMO.

I agree with you totally. Paying up front was my choice, so I don't have anyone to blame but myself. I think Kent's cues are great and a relative bargain, but three years is a little out of my comfort zone.
