Kevin Trudeau on 20/20 tonight

Man, I can't believe that I'm even thinking of defending an ABC show, but here goes...

20/20 has limited resources so they cannot possible cover every story. OK?

Also, 20/20 now is the ONLY "major" news show that has any objectivity left. Hugh Downs was the best; John Stossel is becoming the best. Give him a break and allow him the time to expose things as only he will do. He's lucky he hasn't been fired for what he's exposed so far. He is walking on thin ice with ABC and the controlled news media. I'm surprised he didn't get fired for last week's show explicitly demonstrating how all tax-supported schools suck due to the government-destroyed connection between the payers and the payees.

I missed the interview last night....who did it?...John, or someone else?

Your right about the resources available. The reason for my posts is that they know about it and do not publish it and 20/20 should be doing this kind of stuff. This is ON-Post, why bash KT? His book actually follows the rules of grass roots healing and some religous beliefs. Big deal...

Note: For those that might feel offended about my post, please consider the children first. This is a sub-culture that developed within this religous organization and is not the organization. Unfortunately many higher ups in the organization contributed to this behavior. Additionally, if some did not participate but knew about it -why were the abused children ignored. Why wern't the families told. This is not an exhibition of a loving and caring organization. This also is a great topic for 20/20, how the government protects and changes laws for big organizations and does not represent the people.

Again this post is about KT bashing by 20/20 and only to show an example of what I feel should come before a KT bashing.

Anyway. This was posted for the reason that 20/20 should be investigating and publishing a show on this. I do not see why they need to bash KT.

The IPT need to hire a recognizable front man. Even someone like an Erik Estrada or a Mr. T or any one of a host of out of work has been's who you could hire for a song that will get face time and can stay on message promoting the tour.

what if he was just just another face trying to hustle a few people like others in the past. Funny how money gets you so called freinds.

The biggest problem is the mans money is based on lies can't really say he stole it this time, seeing as how you can't force some one to buy your book.
I have noticed that his infomercials have been omitting several well known diseases, as of late. The early ones mentioned muscular dystrophy, multiple sclorosis, you don't hear him mention them anymore. the only good thing is that the money the players are competing for is already there. Not based on # of entrants, and the players don't seem to be bickering as of yet. Time will tell.

tap tap tap...the A-Team was the best made-for-TV program ever. It used TV as effectively as any show I can think of, including 20/20 (to stay on post).

Dude, wtf are you talking about? Did anyone understand this? if so, please messege me and let me know what he is trying to say. Second, although i dont agree with kevin's past, i do believe in second chances. Yeah, maybe kevin will hurt the appearance of professional pool, maybe not. I say let him try to do something good. I seriously doubt that professional pool will be permenatly looked down apon just because kevin trudeau represents an aspect of it.

I guess what I am talking about is what every company on the planet does, they use recognizable people who project a positive image to represent them. Do you own a television? They need a front man that can get on letterman, Regis, Leno and so on who can tout what is going on in pool. Kevin couldn't even get on those shows if he paid for it. And yes, his connection is a negative. You don't hear Oprah exclaim, "I am having a Martha moment" any more since Martha Steward had her problems, she has distanced herself to the point it is as if they were never friends. In advertising guilt by association as a huge fear. That is why they have morals clauses in their contracts with the people who represent them.

You saw what happened to Koby, he lost a hundred million in indorsements and he wasn't even found guilty. Your welcome to think what you want, but no legitimate sponsor is having their name connected with anything relating to a guy like Kevin, that is a fact they don't gamble when it comes to stuff like that. It doesn't matter what Kevin did or didn't do, perception is everything and he is considered the current greatest fraud and con man there is, like it or not.

Usually....One time, though, BA got shot and Murdock gave him some of his blood. BA ended up rhyming ever sentence just as Howlin' Mad does. One of my favorites.

yes, i'm an ipt member, but here it goes, 20/20 is there for sensationalizim, nothing more. do you think there going to report that kevin truedue is 6 foot 2, wealthy and healthy, and has started a wonderful pool tour???!!!!!????? they want to bite into him like a shark bites into a bleeding 6 year old girl. they love it when they so called expose people, but you know who's full of sh@# here, 20/20, why should they say good things about anyone??? they would LOSE viewers!!!!! they need controversy, so let's dig up the past on kevin and screw him, well, i ain't buyin it, just like i ain't buyin that the medical community is on the level, there not! they are full of it, and kevin is telling the truth! when was the last time the medical community cured a major diesase??????????? maybe 1946???? they are liers, and in it for the money, and for those of you who poo-pooed the book natural cures, you clearly have NOT read the entire book. say what you will, but the tobacco industry knew ALL ALONG, all along, folks that smoking would kill ya, but they didn't want to come out and SAY that, why???? because they would lose stock holders and smokers!!! same goes for the medical community, they are covering up cures, because you can't make money saying go take green tea! i rest my case.

Didn't Kevin say he only just quit smoking himself in the last year? Seems he doesn't practice what he preaches. Play in the tournaments and knock yourself out but stop parroting this guys every word he is a complete hypocritical jackass.

I believe that shows like 20/20 and other news magazines are, for the most part, journalistically repsonsible but focus on the aspects of each story that they feel will produce ratings.

Kevin Trudeau is as well-known for his brushes with the law in matters of consumer fraud as he is as a very successful businessman. Perhaps it says something negative about the average viewer of TV news magazine shows, but the darker side of his past is far more interesting to them. TV producers fully understand this, and cater to their audience.

It's the ratings game, no more and no less. The producers are out to get ratings, not Kevin Trudeau.
