Key West pool halls

Yes there is. If you check the yellow pages you can find the address and name (I'm sorry I don't remember the name, but there is only one with 9 foot tables). It is in a shopping mall on the west/north side of the island. The equipment is older 9 foot tables (probably 8 or 10 of them), a bunch of bar tables and arcade games on the other side. It has a great bar, decent food, lots of t.v.'s for satellite viewing of sporting events. I have always found some action here, but have never run into any super strong players. Its several miles away from the main craziness on Duval St. - but worth the trip if you are a fanatic.

Just off Duval about 2 blocks from Mallory Suare is Captain Tony's. They have 3 crappy bar tables and bad house cues.

Anyway the place is real easy to find, it is in the K-mart shopping center on Roosevelt right when you are getting on the Island.
I would tell you to have a great time in Key West but I don't think I really need to, best place I have ever lived.

There is a pool hall called Stick and Stein. I lived in Key West for 2 years from 1998-2000. I wasn't playing back then, but I did go to this room quite a few times ( big Coast Guard hangout). They do have regulation tables, but the place was more of a sportsbar than serious poolhall. I never noticed any action in there. The truth is this is the only thing stopping me from going back to Key West is the lack of pool action.trufil said:

Yes, that's the one. The equipment is getting a little old. The action I've found there was enlisted men, a couple of old guys that go there every day, and some younger Cuban guys (very emotional, and don't like to lose - I would avoid matching up with them - you can win some cash, but it seems a little dangerous). I have not heard of anything like a local champ/short stop (but I've only been there about 5 or 6 times).
