Anyone interested, let's get this started. I have a schedule and scoresheet ready for anyone who would like to join. I can email this to anyone interested.

The other thread had quite a few guys willing to play. So let's put our money where our mouth is. We will play from now through the DCC. This will give ample time to allow every team owner a fair opportunity. We need between 7 and 15 team owners.

Let's get this going. We can either do a $50 or $100 buy-in. If some can't do 100 we can do side pots for the two.
 
Proposed rules

1. Rotate the pick order in the draft each tournament.

2. New draft each tournament.

3. Money must be posted by "team owners" prior to the first tournament

4. Payout to 1/4 of the field (8 = 1 and 2, 16 = 1-4)

5. Event finishes and team standings must be public after each event.

6. To keep the arguments to a minimum all tournaments regardless of size carry the same weight (this is fair since there is new draft each tournament)

7. Keep draft simple, say 2 players per "team owner" for each tournament.

8. Drafts must be held live in the chat area with the league moderator controlling at a set time for all "team owners".

9. Each team owner must be present at the draft. Those not present for the draft will receive three picks in alphabetical order from the remaining field (this at least gives them something to sweat later)

How are you keeping score in this format? If my 2 guys get 16th and 24th would that be a combined total of 40 and whoever has the lowest number wins? Or, if one of my guys wins the whole thing and the other goes two and out does the highest finish count?

Also, what about late arrivals to a tournament? I think it will be hard to get an accurate players list for the tournaments since so many like to come late or don't show up at all even if their name is on the list. It would suck to pick a guy and he's not even there lol... Anyone at the event would have a huge advantage IMO.

I would like to start out at a small fee until we get all the bugs worked out. $20 would be cool with me but if everyone else wanted to do $50 I could do that but no more until I see how it works.
 
We can do as low as $20, but it is a reasonable amount of logistics for a $150 payout. I have a list of the largest tournament each month and spreadsheet to keep score for anyone that would like to view it. There is the problem that each tournament may not issue a list of names. As this is not an organized league of pro pool players, there is really no way around this.

I would just like to do something regardless.

Point structure (only for paid places; ties both recieve total for highest place):

1: 100
2: 80
3: 70
4: 60
5: 50
6: 45
7: 40
8: 35
9: 30
10: 25
11-16: 20
Not in money: 0

This will usually score:


1: 100
2: 80
3: 70
4: 60
5-6: 50
7-10: 40
11-16: 20
Not in money: 0
 
The sooner everyone responds, the sooner we can begin. I will collect all monies and purchase a CD to mature prior to DCC to help offset the Paypal fees or we can accept money order or checks. Payment will be made in whatever method is preferred by the winner.

US Bar Table Championships begin Monday. I will try to have a roster. If "team owners" are paid up in time, this can be our first tournament.

im in i pefer to send you a money order or check but can use paypal also pm your info when its all set and ill send payment 100 or 50 is good with me
