there are 40 pages
1st page is a diagram so you have 39 table diagrams per booklet

Sorry I hijacked this thread.

I ended up buying 4 of the ShotPads. Two for me and 2 for my best friend.

I also ordered the "Inner Game of Tennis" by Timothy Gallwey and "A Mind for Pool" by Phil Capelle to take advantage of free shipping on Amazon for all of the above.

Damn. I can't STOP spending money on this game.

I'll get something on kicking soon. I promise. Lol.

Does anyone have any good reccomendations for good kick shot training methods? This is about the weakest part of my game, and for some reason, i haven't really put time into learning how to kick accurately.

I know the amount of english, the rail, and the speed you hit the ball at play a factor... But i would like to find a good learning tool to help improve this aspect of my game.

Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

PM sent.
Mark

Thank you!

mark i have to thank you
you were kind enough to talk to me when i had questions
and again their is more info on that dvd then ANYWHERE
thats my opinion and im stickin to it:wink:

I bought the 101 & 202 sets a few minutes ago.

FYI, the combo price and particularly the 15 min. preview of the 202 did it for me.

Looking forward to giving them a spin.

Thanks!

i have joes dvds, teachme pools dvd, deadaim kicking academy pdf
and have read all of scotts articles:eek::thumbup:
here is my 2 cents
in some ways they (all the dvds)are all complimentary because kicking systems can be confusing until you use them enough to "own "them
sometimes hearing something said or reading the same thing helps to reinforce what you are learning
joes dvd is in an easy to assimilate presentaion although many "subtleties" are not explored its a great starting point
btw his 2 rail system using 7.5 as the bottom corner pocket ive never seen anywhere else
RECOMMENDED
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR THE BEGINNER
teach me pool has more info in one dvd than ive EVER seen in a teaching dvd i still go back and watch some things and pickup little details i overlooked
STRONGLY RECCOMMEND
deadaim pdf is also a treasure trove of info
its advantage is that its in a paper format once you print it so you can take the pages you want to study to the pool hall and have a "cheat sheet" to practice and remember the systems as you learn them
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED
scotts articles are very clear and can be printed
STRONGLY RECOMMENDED

my advice
best bang for the buck teachmepool 202
scitts articles and deadaim academy pdf FREE cant beat that price
joes dvd great starting point

A lot of kicking info on the TMP 202 dvd. Promo looks decent. Looks like i'll be buying one or both of his dvds here shortly. Also printed off the Deadaim pdf.

Thanks to everyone for helping me to start with a good foundation before the intense practice.

I'll be the umpteenth one to highly recommend Lil Joe Villalpando's DVD. There are a lot of good instructionals out there but many of them tend to make my eyes glaze over. You need to add two distances together, multiply by pi, divide that by the number of rails you are hitting and then half the distance to the brunette over there with the big tatas. There are some more steps after that but I never make it past the brunette with the big boobs. Joe's DVD's are simple, thoroughly explained, and don't involve brunette's boobs.

One thing about kicking or banking, often we have to modify things a bit and then speed becomes critical. When practicing try to find a speed you like to shoot that shot and use it for a baseline. Unless there is a reason not to, shoot the shot at that speed. If you do need to change speed, know how that is going to affect the shot.

One more thing, if the brunette has a bottom to match get her number for me, I'm half Italian!

Hu

LMAO !!!!!! I can normally get beyond the brunette but the frickin blonde gets me every time !!!

First of all, it helps to know various kicking systems that work well in different game situations. The most common and useful ones are described, illustrated, and demonstrated here:
It is also important to know when and how to makes adjustments to these systems when appropriate.

But it sounds like you want a set of drills and/or a training program to help you develop your kicking skills. That's covered on the following DVD that I created with Bob Jewett:
It is part of the Video Encyclopedia of Pool Practice (VEPP) series.

Good luck,
Dave

The VEPS and VEPP series is pretty much the nuts. Soooooo many shots and drills that will be beneficial to your game.

Dr. Dave's website is a great compendium (if I'm even using the word correctly) for billiard knowledge.

It should be bookmarked and favorited on your computer.
