Kid Delicious to play at WPC

No Gremlin, GYK etc can't play in the WPC and she HAS expressed an interest. I believe Karen would want to play but i never asked her.

Luke Riches has advised us on the WPC Board that the official title is the WPC For Men. Doug Gordon has said he would not accept money for qualifiers from any woman becasue they aren't eligible. Hard to believe you are not up on this Harry. Better head over to the Matchroom boards. Here is a link but i think you have to register before it will work.

It says Mosconi cup in the link but it's not.

By the way did u see my New England trip paid off this weekend?

Hello,

Kelly can qualify just like everyone else. You can send who ever you like just don't bet the store on them. ;) Kelly like Allison would be a long shot to win.
JimmyM and Rudedog like wise at the Open. Real betting is and should be fun so don't waste money on someone who has no chance to win...

SNIP....

Cheers,

Gremlin

Harry,

I don't consider $25 much of a bet nor serious financial threat. I lose more than that in my couch each week.

I'm just curious why you would want to be so closed minded and condescending about people wanting to have a little fun with their money, as well as do a good thing for someone. I don't know about you, but I do believe in good Karma. You know, the "what goes around, comes around " thing.

We had pages on this last year. It's quite simple - this is the WPA World Pool Championship For Men. Therefore, women players would not even be allowed to enter the qualifiers. I presume that if that situation were ever to change then men would also be able to enter the WPA World Pool Championship For Women.

Luke

Can you believe that lame argument about men being able to enter WOMENS events? If the situation were to change it would just be the WPC. Juniors can enter the WPC but Earl can't enter the Juniors. Is that hypocrisy? I think you need an IQ around 100 to know the answer to that.

PS-_Earl thinks it's hypocrisy

Danny is a great player and subject to win any tournament he enters. Good luck to him. Sam

Danny is at the top of his game and has just as good a chance as the next guy to make it to the winner's circle. My girlfriend and I both are pulling for him. He's been there before and has the conditioning, and I wish him well.

I personally dont care if RudeDog and Jimmy M go to and out in the
Open. Its a chance for them to play and its only $25 bucks. I know
how Jimmy plays and he can play. Can he run through a field of all the top players...i dont know. If anyone on this board would understand wanting to give someone a chance I figured it would be you. You spend a lot
of time and money following the womens tour and doing your website.
Its the same thing. It is something that each of us that puts in our $25
cares about doing. Pool tournaments would be very very small if
only players that could win the whole thinkg played.
Women are not allowed in the WPC I dont believe.

We are not going to be putting our money up hoping Jimmy or Rudedog
wins the Open but rather to have a player to follow and represent what the
group here is all about. Its just a random group of people that have the
same hobby. Its everyday people. For you to tell us what to do with our $25 is wrong.

As far as I know they haven't expressed such an interest. Karen and Julie are at home in Ireland resting up to start the second half of the WPBA season. I know they are not going to play.

The men are just like the ladies. In the ladies there are about 10 top players in the world and in the mens there about 25 top players. The rest are just contributors to the prize fund and every once in a while one of them wins.
If you want to bet on a long shot that has a chance to win bet on Tony Crosby.

If you are betting you want to put your money on someone who has a chance to win. Steve Lillis, Frank Alvarez won't get out of the groups they are in. Just like sending JimmyM and RudeDog to the US Open. What a waste of time and money. They don't have a chance to win!!!!! I am sending my $25 to cancer research.

Please, don't bet your money on someone who has no chance to win. It is no fun at all.

Last month though Ga Young Kim (female) beat him [Tony Crosby] twice to win an Open tournament (in Orlando i think). She wants to try to qualify for the WPC but from what i hear, she wont be allowed to because she doesnt have a penis.

Well, this is news! Ga-Young Kim beat Tony Crosby in the final (I presume) of this qualifier for the WPC, TWICE? That's awesome. I know she can play, but.....wow. Who else was in this tournament (meaning, who else did she beat??!!), and where can I find a write-up of this event?

LOL Gremlin have you ever seen Jimmy play? Cancer research huh? You are a cancer to pool, I wonder if they can research that? LOL

I think it was just the regular monthly open at Pro Billiards but it might have been somewhere else. Tony may have been the only other good player, I don't know.
It was not a qualifier.

PS- Am i that bad of a communicator?

It just figures that you would have to go out of your way to take a cheap shot at me. I know you don't like me, and that's okay. You don't like a lot of people, and I know that, no matter who you are, not everyone will like you. I don't care for you because you bash men's pool, and male pool players, all the time. Being a male player, I somewhat took offense to your constant bashing, and said something. You don't like me because I called you on it. Since then we've engaged in a couple little tit-for-tat posts, but hey, I am okay with that. I'm not saying that I'll win the US Open or anything, but IF I do go to that tournament, and if you'd like to make a friendly bet, I'll give you some action on your "two and out" prediction. I'll at least bet you whatever the expenses would be for the tournament, which has to be at least $1500. One of us can leave with a free trip if you want to take me up on it.

P.S. Your recent adoration for a few of the male players hasn't changed any of the things that you have said, or continue to say, about most male players, and men's pool in general. There are a few bad seeds in every bunch, and I do admit, there might be a little more in the men's pool scene than in other groups, but to continuously bash all male pool players, with the exception of a select few, just shows complete ignorance on the subject. The picture you paint of Men's pool is full of stereotypes and misinformation. It's unfortunate because the guys out there playing could use fans as devoted to their tour(s) as you are to the WPBA.

TAP! TAP! TAP! Well put Jimmy, you're not the only one who has noticed the absolute ridiculousness of some of Gremlins' positions! Good luck at the open! Newsflash to Gremlin.......The women SUCK compared to the men, live with it. See you on the table...............Marc

Jimmy you know what else is funny? I've heard from quite a few people that Monica Webb is worse than Earl Strickland in her antics. I also heard that Karen can be quite a you-know-what often in the tournaments. I'm sure Gremlin just pretends he doesn't see it or hear it. All he does is sit on his ass and bash the male players, but when it comes to the females, he kisses their asses. Strange, don't you think? Don't get me wrong, I have nothing but respect for most of the female players, it's just annoying to see this guy on here bashing the males while painting a false picture of some of the females.

Jimmy
Very well put and let me know if you get a bet on the two and out.
I will take a piece of that myself.
Something tells me that you won't get a bet though.

You're not a bad communicator, it just sounded to me like this tournament was a qualifier for some reason -- I just read it wrong. I must need more sleep. LOL Sorry!
