I see one of the coyote pack is back...this isn't directly about pool but this IS about this forum and everyone isn't agreeing with you either. How about if I call in Fast Larry to pummel you around the ring for a couple of rounds?

Geeeez...what a knee-jerk reaction. With just the mere mention of his name you'da thunk somebody went off on another cursing rampage again. I'll try not using THAT curse word very soon.
 
One thing that really bugs me is when people assume from one post what the poster is all about. Sometimes I'll see one of my own posts that I wrote a while ago and I think, "What the heck?" di I write that? Sometimes your head is in a certain place and you just react the way you feel at the time. Some of you people get way out of hand sometimes.

Drivermaker, I for one am not out to get Bernie. I could care less about Bernie. I just disapprove of some of the things he does. That doesn't mean I want him banned from the board. I think it is my right, though, to complain to him about the things he does that I don't like. He, on the other hand, can listen to me or not, it's his choice. I personally don't care for cussing whether there are kids here or not. You really don't need to cuss to get your point across, and if you do, as far as I'm concerned, you're stupid. The English language provides an endless supply of words to express your thoughts; use them.

I find it amusing that a number of individuals, yourself included, that have come out on your own to say that "You must have been referring to me", when I named NO ONE by name. Fact is, I never even thought of you as being one of the coyote pack and your name never entered my mind. You passed by unnoticed. So whether it's guilt or self incrimination, a number of you have stepped forward on your own in self defense.
Well, I guess we could all disapprove of something that ANYONE does and complain about it to them. Maybe I don't approve of your last post. Maybe I should go back in all 1,000 plus of your posts and sit here like a knit-picking pain in the arse and just list everything that I might think is innane. Maybe I should start my own animal pack and antagonizing them into picking on you. The same could be done with Blud. But it is done with Bernie, and I don't approve of that. But, I won't...whether I approve or disapprove of your posts.
And BTW, in your last two sentences of your post, was the word "you" meant to be used primarily in the singular or plural?
 
Wait what is this thread about? Profanity in an open forum? A kids survey? Or just to defend Bernie? Time and time again many of us have said we are not interested in denying Bernie access and his right to post his opinions on this board but we do have a right to complain about the vacuosness or empty headed ness about his volumnous posts. Your post and concern about Bill Clinton shows me your concern about Democracy in action but yet it doesnt seem it have any affect when the MAJORITY of people have said to Bernie Hey Cool It! His unwillingness to accept this criticism by a large number of members is one thing but to rush to his defense because of some issue of gang mentality is another. No one wants him banned but he has said some really pitiful awful statements that need not be reiterated.
I know Drivermaker you are of intelligent stock. I bow down to you when it comes to technical aspects. You seem to know a great deal about specs and design and contruction. So it seems difficult to me that you cannot see this pure logic. Bernie says things. A lot of people give it to him in kind. If you dont agree so be it. If you have some passion to defend a Bernie so be it. ( I know he has a certain penchant for you.) But dont guise it under some kind of social commentary about profanity in public.
 
And Rick, just in case you're confused, I have two separate email addresses for two different businesses and go by drivermaker or longball. I don't use aliases and don't use them as a tag team against someone as others have been prone to do. Sometimes I just forget where I am when I'm doing business after I come on.

Well, one by one the pack members are all coming out on their own and it sure is somwhat of a gang mentality, because everytime a gripe comes up by someone toward him, it's the same members that chime in on the same thread. And yes, you're one of them. MAJORITY??!! There are over 1,000 registered members on this forum. I never saw over 500 voice a negative opinion toward Bernie. How big of a circle do you run in?

I appreciate your kind words about me, and quite honestly I've felt likewise toward a number of your posts. And yes...Bernie says things. Many of which I find humorous, thought provoking, antagonizing, controversial, goofy, and an underlying Eddie Haskell playfulness. And I also sometimes find a couple of lame ones thrown in, But so what. He at least tries to keep the ball rolling when things get dead. I've also taken some pot shots at him with by own brand of goofball humor and nailed him pretty good a couple of times. So if you missed them, go back and read some of my posts, I think you'll find them humorous. If not, I can't please everyone, neither can Bernie, and neither can you.

But If you dont know even Mike of AZ Billiards has asked Bernie to cool it. And if you think that Mike is part of this gang of reactionaries than I hope you know that it is wrong. I want to like Bernie. I disagree with people who insist on categorizing him as a destructive force. I just think he has said some things he should be held accountable for and he doesnt seem to think so. He doesnt want to be responsible for what he has said and the feelings he might cause for it.

I belong to no pack but there are a bunch of people who I respect on this board. Even those whom I differ in thoughts.

Honestly...I think Mike caved in to the pressure produced by the group hounding him. And, let's face it, we don't know what Mike said because it was directly to Bernie and only they know. As far as the comments about being accountable and responsible for, I think I know what they are but I don't know the full circumstances. I'm pretty certain I was out of town for awhile when that occurred. That having been said, and this certainly isn't blind love, I've never gotten the impression that he posts with any malice in his heart. Possibly a certain amount of devilment or mischieviousness, but not malice. Trust me, you and I both know it, it's going to happen and come up again. Let's just see if it's an individual exchange or ends up being a group confrontation with the same people joining in again. Time will tell.

Maybe he should be looking at YOU! The flame wars that went on here between you and FL weren't a one way street, it takes two to tango and you were always right there with your two cents in all day flame posts. You whined like a baby that FL should be removed, then you started whining that Bernie should go, now you're starting with me. Don't you ever work? Don't you have cues that need to get out? No kidding...and they're deluged with one rap song after another that has
the Fword, MF, and slappin' down some 'ho. After that, they can watch the Ozbournes, The Sopranos, and Deadwood. The other night I watched a movie on CineMax with Dustin Hoffman and Ed Byrnes and every other word was F*#K. That's why this whole thing on here is a farce from the self-appointed whining censor police. There are no kids here, wives, grandmas, or socialites. It's just harping on one particular issue to try to mute or control others to their liking. I'm starting to wonder if they really belong here...I thought this forum had more real poolplayers that played in real poolrooms.
