Kind of a dumb question but that never stopped me before

I bought a cue from a guy a couple months ago, a falcon with a 314 shaft. He told me it had "one of those Japanese tips" on it. It is clearly a layered tip, beyond that I don't have a clue.

Is there more than one Japanese company that makes layered tips and if so is there any way to tell what kind of a tip it is?

The reason I ask is because I like the tip and want to get the same thing in the future.

Thanks

Once they are put on, trimed, and shaped, it is hard to tell. There are several layered Japanese made tips.
Purdman

Moori (best, IMO)
Talisman (actually Thai, excellent also)
Molavia (I don't like them)
Kamui (I don't like them either)

Many other layered tips like Hercules, Tiger, etc, but I don't know which ones are Japanese. There are a ton of tip makers out there.
