You guys talk like the person you are talking about isn't going to read what you wrote. How would you feel if somebody said you were really somebody other than who you said you were? I swear, either somebody isn't thinking or their fingers work faster than their brain!

i would only feel badly if i posted as rempe and no one believed me. like the mark tadd thingy. deadaim has not asserted himself to be rempe. that is speculation brought about by this thread's starter.

I suspected something like this would happen, and it's unfortunate.

I am NOT Jim.

I just picked the user name "DeadAim" out of the air.

The Avatar I used is a trimmed down version of a poster he signed for me, and I taught; "what a great way to portray my user name than with a picture of Jimmy Rempe aiming.

I didn't read any of the posts and I don't intend to.

I hope we all consider this matter closed.

After seeing the fiasco about Mark Tadd, I wouldn't want to use my real name if I were a player of note.....

Mark Tadd was a world championship class player who walked away from the game nearly ten years ago when he was playing at his highest level. I saw him play and even spent a little time with him socially. I'm sure I'm not the only one who finds his disappearance form the pro scene unusual. Still, Mark is now addressing others on the forum in a friendly and respectful way, and is a very nice addiiton to the forum.

Let's not get silly, though, and mention Mark in the same breath as BCA Hall of Famer Jim Rempe, whose list of major titles is rather long. If Jim ever did post here and identified himself, he would be embraced by all of us on the forum. I'm quite certain of it.

As for Deadaim, I like the guy, and feel he adds a lot to our forum.

I refused to get caught up in the incident on here with Mr. Tadd and I refuse to get caught up in any incident that may or may not happen here with the "is it or isn't it Jim Rempe" situation that's just short of happening. My statement was simply, if I were a player of note regardless of current or past stature, I would be wary of saying who I was. For the sake of argument, I would simply post anonymously.
