Two of my other favorite betchas are folding a cigarette till the tip touches the filter without breaking the paper and holding a lit cigarette between my thumb and finger for around 15 to 20 seconds.
Holding the cigarette is not much fun if you dont know the trick to it!

I have seen this one in the pool room b4....bet someone that you can throw an empty beer can farther than they can throw an empty beer bottle. If they take the bet, just before you throw the can, stomp on it so it looks like a frisbee. It will go alot farther than an empty beer bottle.

Anyone know the one where you stick the point of a pen knife in the ceiling and place a beer bottle on the floor. The goal is to knock the knife loose by hitting the ceiling with your fist, and have the knife drop into the bottle. I have also made a lot of money on throwing the keys across the room into the corner pocket on a pool table. The there is always the bet on how many times someone can fold a piece of paper in half.

My personal favorite is this: Place a ball in each corner pocket at one end of the table. Then tell someone that you can hit two balls with just one shot. And to make sure you don't cheat or do anything silly, they should put one index finger on each ball to hold them in place.

When Chef Anton would come to Atlanta we would set up his table for the conventions he would do. Pretty cool guy. Though I haven't seen his show in person.
Well I like the nickel trick. I always put 1 ball in each end corner. Then I put 2 balls frozen together on the footspot like a 1pocket stratch. Not far behind the frozen balls I place a nickel directly in the center.
I then find an unsuspecting volunteer. Which it normally helps if you pull off some real trick shots before this trick so they gain your trust. Have them place 1 hand on each ball in the corner pockets. You then tell them you will split 2 balls in 1 shot.
You hit dead on to the frozen balls which causes the end frozen ball to hit hte nickel go airborn and split your volunteers.. Well... Um Balls. Then you run like hell cause they will generally be pissed. You will also likely loose your nickel.
So I guess it's not a good "Betcha".
There is another non-pool related bar trick I know that involves 3 shot glasses and 3 glasses of beer. You tell them you can finish 3 of your beers before they can finish 3 of their shots. It doesn't matter what the shot is. You set some rules such as you can't touch your opponents glass.
So you go and start chugging your beer. When you finish your 1st beer you put it over their last shot. Since they can't touch your glass they can't finish their shot. You finish your beers at your own pace and collect some cash.

You place a nickle on the head spot. You hand them two balls and tell them to hold each ball in place with thier finger and that you will carom the nickle and hit both of thier balls.
They of course are supposed to think you are doing some fancy carom 4 rails with the CB and the nickle is going to hit the other ball...of course you know whats going to happen
