Knowledge of cues needed

I currently dug up my old pool cue and was considering selling it. In my studies trying to find the value of my old McDermott, I discovered I can't find the pattern anywhere. I did go to McDermott and was told the pattern was really rare and it's in great condition. Best guess was 100 or less made. Any knowledge on my cue or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you want the true value, put it on ebay with no reserve for a 10 day auction, and advertise the ebay link here and on FB:)

If I offered more does that let me skip the kiss or is that like required cuddles also? Asking for a friend
Cuddles are always good 🤪 Kisses are wonderful but I'm not ready for that yet...lol! I'm still doing research on this cue and trying to find a base value.

Mcdermott has an archive online
Yes, thank you 😊 I went online and searched the archives. I was unsuccessful finding this one. It forced me to drive to McDermott, thankfully only 20 minutes away. I figured since I purchased it there almost 30 yrs ago they'd have some sort of record. I was pointed to a nice gentleman named John, who has been there forever. He remembers the line and said that he estimates 100 or less being made. He suggested I come here and inquire about it due to the rareness.

Depending on the exact condition, dings, how the shaft is, how the finish is, I think the $150 estimate is too low. There are a lot of younger players that would like this design, maybe even some older ones that like non-traditional designs, plus it's a US made "vintage" cue. You should be able to get $200 for it.

Then offer the man $200. Problem solved.

If someone offered me $150 I would kiss them.
For the cue? or just the kiss?

If it's that rare and not worth a lot, I'd consider keeping it. It's an interesting piece and you can't do much with $200. I guess if you aren't using it, it can go to someone who enjoys it, but the profit motive if pretty small.
