Ko Pin Yi vs James Aranas live now on YT, Asian 9 Ball Open Finals

Both players played great. I think I saw one missed ball since tuning in at 7-7, and one scratch by James that let Ko break-serve.

I think this shows that 9 ball on the spot, break from the box is the way to go. That was incredibly boring to watch, compared to the European championship matches. The players are just too good to to set it up like this in my opinion

Congratulations to Ko Pin for the win!
If we look back at the 96 players field, Ko was clearly the favorite to win the tournament, and he did.

Personally i was hoping for a good result from A. Raga, he did, just lost against another top favorite to the win, N. Oi.

Even the break being so predictable, we clearly saw James Aranas pressure making him drop that shot too far from where he wanted it, but awesome play from him.

I think it also showed alt break is boring. Even when both were B&R at such a high rate, there was no continuity to it.

I agree. AlternaTe break with the 1 ball on the spot combined to make it as bad as possible. Winner breaks may have made it more fun with packs from each of them but then that ends up being like watching them practice against the ghost. 1 ball on the spot is fine for us mere mortals but these guys are too good for that
Anyone know the size of pockets?
