Kozoom

Ever since I saw the first Kozoom video I was amazed at the overall quality of the production especially the video quality. They make some of the best videos I have seen and not just in the category of cue sports. With all that said quality isn't cheap, which got me to thinking about their business model. Is Kozoom really turning a profit? If so how are they doing it? If they are operating at a loss who is their backer? If it is making a profit the rest of the cue sports world would stand to learn from them. I have no malicious intent by posting these questions, I genuinely would like to know. Kozoom is doing something right which intrigues me.

To me it appears that Kozoom:

(a) Offers display advertising opportunities for sale and companies actually purchase the ads, and;

(b) Offers live streaming of all it's events for a small annual subscription fee. And subscribers also have access to archived videos and much more.

It will be interesting to see how many of the folks that have groused about the USBA not providing live streaming, or the quality of the live streaming when it was available, will now step up to the plate and subscribe. In my opinion the USBA has done their part to please those who want to see these events so now the ball is in the spectator's court.

And keep in mind this is a new relationship and there will be bugs and issues to be worked out but establishing the Kozoom relationship is a huge huge step in the right direction. GE
