I'd just like to make a quick comment about the front page article today. AZ Billiards has decided to take editorial control of the press releases they receive before publishing them. Although this might seem like a small detail to many people who are just interested in hearing the latest stories without much concern about the small details, this is a huge step towards a higher level of legitamacy and credibility. It shows that this website is not content with the status quo and is always looking to expand and improve. I really hope everyone sees this for what it is, an exceptional step to reaching the next level of what is already a well developed and amazing billiards news site. Thank you for everything you do AZ and please continue to strive for excellence.

I was curious if there were any factual errors on prior articles and that was primary impetus on editorial control, or is it more of a style/quality decision on AZ's part? Some of the articles had creative grammar, but for the most part, they seemed decently written.

Also, I wonder if this impact the timeliness of the news.

It might cause an article to be published a few hours or even a day or two later, but I feel to be considered credible is well worth the wait even though some might not agree. How many times have us in the pool world heard of a match that occurred and the initial details turn out to be completely wrong, whether it be the game played, length of the set or amount played for. The wait is worth the accuracy. Just my opinion.

Any step in the direction of ensuring journalistic integrity is a good one, and I commend AZB for implementing this policy.
