I spent a day with Randy G awhile back and one with Scott Lee yesterday. Their teaching methods are similar, but as you might expect they each have their own insights. Both sessions were extremely worthwhile and I recommend them highly. There's an awful lot of information to digest at one sitting, but they both provide written materials that are very helpful. Thanks, guys. Now I just need to be more disciplined in doing the drills than I have been in the past!

Have not met Randy yet, but Scott is a great guy, we played some One Pocket last time he was down this way, the last game he, made a ball in his pocket off his break and went 8 and out.:D

Were going to play some 3C next time he comes down.:)

I'm currently posting from my hotel, and just finished day one of three of Scott Lee's pool school here in Harrisburg, PA.

This school is exactly what I've been looking for, but just didn't know it until I started.

It will become a solid foundation for my game. I've already learned so much that I am confident will improve my game it's silly. It's a lot of work, but that's because we are covering so much. And it's not mind blowing, cue ball spinning, trick shot type stuff; It's rock solid basic fundamentals backed by instructors who have done their homework.

Now, I have to put the work in, but, in reality, I've been doing that. I've just been spinning my wheels, with no direction.

Oh well, let me go out and grab something to eat. I'm hungry. It's been a long day.

I'll be back on later!:)

Gregg,
You are on track to be the most improved player of the bunch!
Some green for being a good student and a very nice guy (from jersey even).

Get plenty of sleep tonight, you'll need it.

Glad you enjoyed your session. I am glad that you were able to get scheduled with Scott.
Just in case anyone is wondering both Fliedout and I were the two AZ members who worked with Scott in the Sterling area as noted in this thread by Scott -

It was great to work with both RandyG a couple of years ago and even better to have a refresher course with someone who zeroed in on some difficiencies that can be corrected very easily. All I have to do is mumble my way through it all.

SPF to all - oh hold that thought - Freeze...

Randy G

I Finished Randy G's School 2 Weeks Ago And Look Forward To Allison Fisher's School In 2 Weeks Even As They May Also Be Similar As Are Scott Lee's And The "g" Man. I Learned Some More "g" Things That Have Already Improved My Game And Hope To See That Improvement Enhanced By Gerda And Karen( My Name For Allison As She Calls Me Dave;not My Name)

Trying To Improve Quickly At This Game Without Quality Teaching Disciplines Is Very Difficult If Not Impossible. I Have Been Blessed With Several Different Teaching Approaches From Talented Players/instructors And Learned From Each.

Karen, I'll Be Coming Around The Mountain.

John...It was a pleasure to work with you, and Myron too! Now that you've gotten some review, you'll have no excuse to not "owning" your stroke the next time I see you! :D

Gregg...I feel for ya buddy! I'm tired too...but it's a good kind of tired! :D Day One is done, and we're all looking forward to Day Two and Three! Today was the appetizer...Meat and potatos tomorrow! All six students were very attentive and went home exhausted, mentally and physically. See you at 8 tomorrow! Don't forget your homework! :D
