Kuwait Tournament?

You can never be sure it's entirely accurate, but the following Americans are listed on the stage 2 (group) brackets:

Shuff (group 14)
Wilke (13)
Lombardo (2)
Corey (13)
Morris (10)
SVB (5)
Dechaine (5)
Rob Hart (12)

Also, SVB & Dechaine in the same group, on the same side of brackets...ouch.

Interesting that both Rodney and Dechaine will be there - so the guaranteed spot (spot #3) could still flip between them. In fact if they both got in the top about 8, they could knock Skyler out of a guaranteed spot altogether.

Also, because Wilke and Shuff are both behind Justin Bergman in points right now, they could both overtake him, making it that much harder to justify picking Bergman as a captain's pick.

Super strong monster field

Super Strong Monster field. At least Half the field are 1st and 2nd tier world class players
128 players divided into 16 groups of 8. Win twice and qualify for knockout stage of 64.
Groups of death of 3,8,12 which have 6 strong players and only 4 can qualify for knockout round

Besides the notables, watch out for army of Filipino qualifiers who are mostly unknowns internationally like Anton Raga, Cuatero, Elmer Haya, Medenilla.
Even killers like Ignacio, De Luna had to play qualifiers :grin-square:

Ouch for Dechaine, SVB may give it to him just because last mosconi cup points tournament, But SVB is a competitor so he won't lay down quietly unless this tournament does not mean much to him. I do not see him laying down though.

Shane isn't giving up a payday or the title for anybody.....this is crazy talk^^^^^^

Looks like a typo in the second line. KSA, maybe?

Did anyone from the USA try to qualify?

Are you double counting some players who played in more than one qualifier tournament?

Exactly! Don't think we got that many for the open - no way there's 70 players flying to Kuwait(unless somebody else is paying for it), that have NO chance of even cashing

I didn't see any in the qualifier brackets. Doubt if any top ranked American player even would have had to qualify given how hard of a time they have with using the slots we are allocated for these events.

Brackets for group stage DE are up

Looks like they will only show on Kuwait KTV3 . KTV3 link can be googled easily

tyvm for that.

The local times for tomorrow's matches are 10 am, 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm, 6 pm, and 8 pm.

Kuwait is 7 hours ahead of the USA east coast.

So the match times tomorrow for USA east coast are 3 am (about 7 hours from now), 5 am, 7 am, 9 am, 11 am, and 1 pm.

I do not know what will be available on Kuwait KTV3.

I jacked that information up pretty bad. Ignore this nonsense...sorry.

FB really is the fastest source of pool news these days.
