Sent an e-mail a while back expressing interest. Any updates?
Due to the almost complete lack of response from the ladies I am quite discouraged to bother moving forward with this one.

Planet Pool is having a Ladies Event on Feb 13 with $1,000 added.
So I will check that to see what kind of participation they get and will make a decision based on that turnout.

Sad very sad!! Unfortunately pool rooms will not survive unless they begin to attract a more diverse player base. I have already seen the evidence, there are so few players under 30 in the league that I play in you can count them on your fingers. What surprises me the most is when I bring this up to room owners they just shrug their shoulders like what can I do about it?? Pool rooms will be a thing of the past soon, which may be why you see so many pool aficionado's putting tables in their homes.

I think it is a complicated problem with many factors affecting the attendance.

Unfortunately, players as well as owners have responsibilities, but in the pool world, no one wants to give an inch.

In the end, a small number of people end up giving too much and get burnt out very quickly.
