Lakeland shaft

Hello. Has anyone ever hear of a lakeland shaft? This is what I was told the shaft is but there are not any identifying markings on it. It has a pear colored segmented ring and an old school micarta ferule. Thanks.

The person probably misspoke. I believe they meant lakewood. That's reclaimed wood from the bottom of a lake. It's darker colored due to the wood taking on minerals out of the water and debris. The wood is heavier and more solid feeling, due to being under so much pressure of the water. Usually higher priced and sought after...
