Lambros cues

I spoke to him a past few months ago to get an order in and as far as I know he still is. I think Mike is on his own now and I expected his turnaround time to be somewhat long, but his building times are still around 5 months.

If you look around the internet he does have a few online dealers, mainly superiorcues.com and billiardwarehouse.com, and they are supposedly receiving cues sometime this year. Having said that, I visited his shop a year or so ago and I saw cues in process that were supposed to go to Martin at superior cues. That was maybe more than a year ago and I don't think they were delivered as I have checked that site numerous times. Again, Mike is on his own and I do suspect his lead times are a very aggressive estimation and I would expect to wait much longer than 5 months.

He never returns my emails. I have been wanting to order a cue for over 1 year. I heard he was moving from Maryland to another State, not sure if that has happened.

Yeah he's not the best with emails. Give his shop a call. He's a real nice guy and easy to talk to.

Mike is still making cues. I just got this one a couple months ago. It is beautiful and the best hitting cue I have ever played with, though I am having some issues with the tips on them.

Mike is a great guy to work with but some things to consider:

1. Much better I think to call him than email. He has an email filter that can block all your emails if he is not expecting to hear from you.

2. The less direction you provide the better. Like a lot of custom cue makers he is not all that in to building very specific customer designs

3. Pretty much leave him alone, and don't nag him

4. He's not really into providing updates or pictures or anything like that

5. His estimates are close, but expect it to take longer than his estimate

Having said all that, he is deeply invested in his cues and is a perfectionist. His workmanship is spectacular and the joint and construction of the cue is not marketing fluff they really do hit more solid than other cues.

I did purchase through Martin at superiorcues which made some of the early communication simpler. . Definitely recommend his cues. I have also heard he hates making cues for flippers so he may not want to build one if he thinks you are buying for that purpose.

Hello All, Just wanted to chime in and say I spoke to Mike Lambros last week. Mike has been doing every operation in the shop himself for more than 2 years now. Cues are coming out of the shop in reduced numbers but I believe the cues are absolutely the best they can be. I expect 4 or so new Mike Lambros cues to arrive sometime next month (of course I wish I had 14 Mike Lambros cues coming!). As far as I know Mike is not moving. It is best to call Mike on the phone if you want to talk to him. As long as he can get to the phone, he'll stop what he is doing to take the call. I'm happy to discuss a new cue order with anyone. Same price as from Mike. Send me a PM if I can be of any help. Thanks, Martin

Going through Martin was a terrific experience and I wound up with an awesome cue. Highly recommended way to go to get your next Lambros.
