Lambros LD shafts

Is there a way to identify Lambros' regular shafts from his LD shafts? I'm looking to buy one second hand and the owner isn't sure if the shafts are LD or not. He explained that he believes the shafts are LD because the shafts have an ML at the base. Does anyone know for certain whether there are markings that distinguish the two shafts?
Thanks-Ryan.

Ryan,
I ordered a cue from Mike,
with HIS ld shafts.
Mike Put ML on the shafts,
just above the joint collar rings.
From what You describe,
I would say that the shafts are LD"
Good Luck,
Mikes cues are some of the best quality and playability on the market

wow good question. I was told the two shafts I got are LD and they have the ML on the bottom so I just assumed they were. Seems to play like they are. But I don't have any of his regular shafts so I don't for sure.

I have one of each with my conversion and the LD has Mikes logo. The regular does not have the logo.

consensus

Sounds like there's a pretty good consensus on LE shafts being marked with Mike's initials. Thanks all-Ryan

Oh heck...from everything I've ever heard about Lambros, all his shafts are Low Deflection. I've heard that for at least ten years now.

That was always one of his selling points.

Are cue makers measuring the deflection of each shaft? LOL!

Dennis Searing,
Searing Precision cues from Florida has designed something to check the flexability for His cue shafts

the ML on the shafts is LD, you can most likely also see that it´s laminated. Yes Mike´s cues play ld with his usual setup also. Not ultra low, perfect imo. Deflection will always be there so use it for the good it does. To low deflection or to high deflection, go in between:smile:.
