Can anyone give a description on
lambros standard shaft taper? Is it stiffer. More relaxed? Thanks for any info
 
I would describe them as a moderate stiff, fairly low deflection ....great shafts. Have not tried the LD shafts. IMO Lambros makes some of the best playing cues out there.

How would you compare the hit to something like a standard Schon? Stiffer? Softer?

I have been thinking about buying a Lambros as well.
 
I would describe the Lambros shaft as stiffer than a schon shaft with much less deflection. I've had at least 12 schons in the past and currently two Lambros. IMO Lambros is much more point and shoot. I still like the schons for the money especially on the secondary market they bring about 60% of retail value.
 
They do play a little stiff. First time I tried one, it felt like a one-piece cue with great feedback. His patented ultra/ultimate joint from what I hear (not from source) is also applied at the 'A joint' which joins the forearm to the handle. This completes the Lambros hit.

I'm on my 4th Lambros. I'd like to try a wrapless ultimate joint next, but need to make room and sell a few cues first. LOL.
