laminated Ebony?

what effects would having a Laminated Ebony handle, I was thinking about buying a Mezz with a laminated Ebony handle.

What's the +'s and -'s I guess...

Not knowing anything about Mezz except that they are not made in the US, are the handles pie lam or flat lam? Cored? Hollow?
