Laminated tip on snooker cue?

Has anyone tried putting good quality laminated tip on snooker cue? As I remeber correctly, John Higgins plays with Kamui and I decided to give it a shot.

I put Kamui Brown (regular tip, not snooker one, and pretty sure it is Medium hardness) on my John Parris and could not be more happier with results, here are pictures from my thread in gallery:

Plays so much better with this tip- had some unknown one piece tip on it before (not Elkmaster, tip was super hard)

Highly recomend to anyone who plays with one piece tips

I have SuperPro Tips (hard laminated) on (2) Snooker Shafts, 9mm & 11mm
and will never go back to standard tips. These tips provide great "feedback" from
the Cue Ball and require almost no grooming. I also recommend Blue Diamond
Chalk @ $2.00 cube and worth every cent.

I have some ultra skins i am thinking of using on the adams cue you sent to me. It definitely need some new leather!!! I've straightened and reconditioned the shaft. It's not perfect, but it's much better than before.

i'll see how those layered tips go (can't beat the price by the way!)
