I'll be in Lancaster all day Thursday. Any good rooms close by? Prefer tables that have tight pockets. Or should I drive to Drexeline Billiards?
 
I don't know of any poolrooms in that area or around there. Too bad you couldn't be around on Saturday for a big pool tournament at Finleys near York PA.

If you are looking for action, I don't know where you should go.

If you just want to bang balls around, I'm about an hour away west of Lancaster. I'm just a ball banger...LOL.

You can see a collection of pool cues which will take a couple hours to see them all. I have a pool table and a lathe where I make experimental break tips, tips and shafts.

Send a message to topcat1953. Think he still lives around Lancaster. Used to own a pool room there if I remember correctly. Been quite a few years. Drexline is a long way from Lancaster. You're much closer to York. Might be something there.

Not much in York. Brett scared everyone away or made them quit.

It's so bad in York...even Brett had to move out.:eek:
 
classic billiards is closer than drexeline. and they have tight tables that play very good. and you can get good action there if your looking for some.

last time I was in Lancaster...around 2002 there was a nice pool hall there. Can't say if it's still there or not. Don't remember the name.

There is no pool rooms around this area open anymore. Topcat1953 had closed his room years back in Lancaster, it was a nice room and everyone around here misses it. The closest room around would be Club Med Billiards in Harrisburg, Pa. its a nice room as well but dont know if theres much action up there or not. Mostly everyone around here plays out of private clubs , bars or bowling alley. With no pool halls around in Lancaster, York counties you would think if someone would open one around this area it would be a hot spot or very profitable. But Club Med in Harrisburg, Pa. is the closest one about 30 miles away from Lancaster ,,,< :thumbup:<< ED
 
If you are going all the way to Drexel Hill or Frazier, you should check out West Chester Billiards. Open 1pm to 2am 7 days a week and just about the nicest conditions you would ever play pool in. I will be in there Friday for sure, after I get home on the red eye from Las Vegas...
 
I second the idea of classic. Go see Jim the owner there most of ye time you can get some type of action. Your about an hour from there in Lancaster. Great tables and a few are really tight.
