Agree the letter is/was nice when it was posted.
You know why he digs up 5 year old posts, so he can continue to have things to post about and get that post count up. He's the first to talk about useless posts, and then he goes along and resurrects all these old posts and you get lambasted if you mention anything about the post being brought back from the dead.
All right Tommy,
I'll respond to you this one time and this one time only.
I understand that you are miffed at me for the way I responded to some of your other threads. Really, I do understand. I'd probably be a little ticked off at someone who really took a strong stand against my post like I did to you. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings but some things have to be said and I said them. I can live without your online friendship and I'm sure you can live without mine.
I did notice that you mentioned that you disliked my commentary in another entirely different thread and I can accept that. Lots of people have their favorite commentators. Some people even dislike some commentators and you shouldn't be any different.
My response to you is in good will. I don't have any problem with you following me around the Internet forums and taking shots at me. Hopefully, this post will end all of that once and for all. I see that you like to be "controversial" at times (and that's ok too) but that's not my style so I won't be interacting with you in the future but I thought your post above deserved a modicum of respect and so I am replying only once, but I wanted to cover a lot of ground since I won't be responding in the future to you regardless of whether you see the real intent of this post or not.
The reason for me resurrecting this thread was purely accidental but it is kind of serendipitous in a way. Landon is deserving of all of the praise one man can get. He is an all around great guy and a pool talent to boot. I'm proud to know him and his family. What happened was I was reading another entirely different thread, when someone referred to the link that brought me to this particular thread and since I didn't remember reading it, I wanted to respond to it even though it was a few years old. Jack Justis is another good guy for starting this thread and he sure deserves a lot of love for being part of the pool world too. His contributions to the pool world are legendary. Heck, he even made the POW-MIA cue case that I still use to this day. You can see all of the pics of the case and cue by clicking on this link.
Tommy, as far as I am concerned, I don't keep track of post counts and don't care how many I have written. I really write because I enjoy writing. I've been writing a book for my son for the last 5 years. It contains over 40,000 words and has 40 or 50 photos, some of them are 70 years old. He asked me to write the book and the only reason I mention this is for you to know that I don't write for anything except the pleasure of writing.
Hope this clears things up for you Tommy and hope you don't think I am lambasting you either.
Best to you and yours,
JoeyA
