Believe it or not, I just heard that this pool room is closing TODAY. No? I hope not- I remember when it opened maybe 10 yrs ago.
 
Confirmed- Action will be closing their doors after the tournament. I just spoke with Sal Beviloqua (sp), the owner.
 
Very true Action will be closing the doors on the poolhall but the bar and grill side will remain open under Sal's brothers direction. Don't count Sal out though he still will keep most of the tables and says he will start looking for another location after he takes sometime off.
 
sorry to hear this - hope Sal finds a great new place to start-up!

good luck this weekend Bora, if you play. I am off to Florida to have a little fun at the regional tour championships with the other gals or else I would have come up for the memorial.

I had something come up and didn't make it to the event yesterday and feel bad about it.
Now time to be honest I ended up spending the day a Mohegan Sun and didn't want to leave the Blackjack table. I was getting ready at one point to go and I started think about what Larry would do and I really think he would have told me to stay at the table because I was winning. I did come out way ahead and will make the ride down to Action today to sweat some matches.

thanks Bora - glad they had a decent showing. by the way, i will be in the area (Branford) for at least a couple of weeks, may be as much as four weeks depending on the project i am working on at the office (just got the call on Wednesday to come up). dinner may be in the works with J.C., so if you are up for meeting up, buzz me.

will do - i may need a couple of days to catch up on sleep from the FL trip this weekend, but hope to be out and about by the weekend. talk to ya soon.
