It's been a while since I've been on this site, and about the same amount of time since I've picked up a cue seriously. I'm trying to find someone to hit balls with on a 9' without having to deal with a bunch of people around for now.

If you have a table and want a sparring partner (I have no problems giving pointers, or just giving competition), I just want to get back into the game without the crap that goes on in the pool hall for now. My work schedule allows a lot of time during the winter, so this is ideal for me.

Someone told me to go down there to spar some a few months back, I'd really rather just stay away from the pool hall 'till I get back in stroke though. Sucks coming off of a 4 year hiatus and everybody expects you to play the same.

To be blunt, I'm not going back into a pool hall to lose.
 
Lance, where have you been all this time?

If you don't find anyone who has their own pool table to spar with, you can go to Mickey's. It's pretty nice and very few folks are looking to make a big money game. Best Billiards is also a good choice but if you go, try out their incredible Italian food.

I've been in my basement practicing 18 hours/day to take the world by storm... Just kidding, been selling solar thermal systems here in Vegas for about 4 years. I'm not going to use the "not enough time to play" excuse, it's a cop-out IMO, I just haven't really had any urge until now. As I'm sure you know it's kind of pointless (just going through the motions) if you're not into it.

Maybe I'll pop in to one of those places next week if nothing else comes up. Micky's is all the way across town for me, so more than likely will try out Best. Hopefully I'll be seeing you next year in some tournaments!
 
Im heading down to best today with a couple friends...they have private rooms with 9 foot diamonds also.
