Las Vegas Pool Rooms

I am going to Vegas for a convention Feb 1 through Feb 5 and need to keep my practice up for a tournament the following weekend. Is there any pool halls near the strip that I can practice in? I am not an action player, would just like to practice for a few hours a few times while I am there. If not near the strip, anything within taxi distance would be ok.

My tournament will be a barbox tourney, but I can practice on 7, 8, or 9' table.

Is there any tourny's that week I could watch?

Cue Club is just east of the strip on Sahara. By far the closest pool room to the strip.

Mickey's isn't too far away at Eastern and Warm Springs, maybe 10mins away.

Either will suit your needs.

Whats about that Sharkeys place? where the home table is inset into the floor, Is that place still open?

Pool Sharks, on Decatur too. It really depends on which part of Vegas youre at.

Depends on what part of the strip you're staying. Both Cue Club and Pool Sharks are close to the strip. Mickey's is a little farther, but they each are nice and different. Here is some information about all three:

Pool Sharks
3650 S Decatur Blvd # 12
Las Vegas, NV 89103
(702) 222-1011‎
Open 24/7
has 7' and 9' including one 7' Diamond, two 9' Diamonds (one that is located in a pit area and is a great table...although tough as nails)
They also recently added a new GC5.
I would say this is the closer location if you are near Tropicana or south of Trop.

The Cue Club
953 E Sahara Ave # A15
Las Vegas, NV 89104
(702) 735-2884‎
Open 24/7
they have 7', 9' table and one 6'x12' snooker table. There are 4 diamond 7'ers. This is the closer room if you are staying north of Tropicana or near Sahara.

Mickey's Cue and Brews
7380 S Eastern Ave # 104
Las Vegas, NV 89123
(702) 361-2060‎
Also a real nice room. has a mix of 9' Diamonds, 9' Brunswicks and 7' Diamonds. Has a large screen TV area with comfy seating. They run pool DVD's from DCC and US Open from Accu-Stats.

Pool Sharks and Cue Club are both close, about a $8-$10 cab ride.

If you have a car, there's nothing like Mickey's. Their 7 ft diamond is very tough. Cue Club is your best bet. Try table #10. Nice 9 footer.

Thats the problem- he probably won't havea car, and Mickey's is almost in Henderson. I agree that Mickey's is a nice place, but cab fare in Vegas is expensive :o
