LASIK question - Monovision

I had a lasik consult the other day and they said the only option I have would be to go Monovision. One eye for distance and one for close up.
Anyone have this done? How did it affect your pool game? Did it have an impact on your depth perception?
Thanks
When my wife and I had Lasik surgery in 2004, we both went with reading glasses. We both see perfect from 15 - 18 inches and beyond.

Need reading glasses for less than 18 inches. Wifey had cataract surgery and opted for the same.

19 years later and I still see better than 20-20. I would recommend opting for reading glasses and not monovision.

Is scribing cross hairs into the lense allowed?

Would not do any good, the cornea+lens combination is "maximally out of focus".
{{Like putting cross hairs on the front lens of a binocular--just blocks light.}}
You need to put the cross hairs at the focal plane in an optical system, and the way the eye processes light, there is not one.

I had it done about 10 years ago. It'll take a week or two for your brain to adjust to one long/one short eye.
