Lasik?

Just would like to get some input.

I'm scheduled to get lasik in about a week. I'm moderately far-sighted (hyperopic) with stigmatism. Playing pool with my glasses on has been a joke because i end up looking at the shot thru my frames. I know i could get glasses made that would help with this, but i'm so short, they'd look like a face shield. :p

How many of you have had lasik surgery, and how happy are you with the results? And please say if you were far-sighted/near-sighted.

PS: Also, the type of lasik i'm getting is the "intralase" where everything is done by laser.

I had just my left eye done. I am now able to function quite well with no glasses even for reading. It did improve my pool game. It was the best money I ever spent.:D
There have been some other recent threads. Do a search. Key word Lasik. You should check them out. Good Luck.:)

Send a PM to my employer DONOVAN who posts here...he just went thru that Lasik surgery about a month ago..he researched options..he has a load of information he can share with you...good luck..:)

i had my lasik surgery last december 2005. i had a grade of 400+ on both eyes and astigmatism 400+ on the right and 300+ on the left. After the Lasik operation, my eyes are now 20-20. Im almost 27 yo now and my only regret is not having the Lasik sooner. I used to wear contact lenses, but they irritated my eyes during long matches
