Last night was very sad-Ferocious fight between air sign and water signs of this form

Those of u who stayed last night might have seen the very unfortunate thing that happened on this forum.It was viscious and fierce battle.The air sign alone fought with a gang of water signs and other.As expected the thread is now removed.Last night I called a friend of mine in New york and told her to read the thread before it is removed.She read it and we discussed it.
Every individual involved in the fight on the main arena is a nice individual but one led to the other and ended up in the NASTIEST FIGHT I had ever seen on this form.Though it appeared amusing in a perverted manner but it was very sad.
I DO NOT WISH that to happen again.

Nah, better to forget that this, and the other apparently infamous, thread existed and move on.

Hey Vagabond,

I agree that it was probably the most vicious back and forth to date, however, if someone called me the name that was flung out there, I would probably do the same thing. Not trying to restart it but that was completely uncalled for.

Thanks.I hate to see these things happen.Next time if I happen to see one I am going to invite myself to stop the fight, no matter who was at fault.

I do not mind that and I am going to stop the fights next time.I am old fashioned guy and I may even enjoy watching two men fighting.I feel sad and embarassed to see women in fight.I am just old fashioned.
 
Fighting ...

Anyone that undergos getting their integrity and motives
questioned constantly will eventually strike back, sometimes
not in the right direction. I do not see how anyone can
characterize someone on here without even having met them
in person, nor should it be anyone's main function in life to do so.

We all, I hope, are here to contribute to Pool and the discussions
of varying aspects of the sport. Are you doing that in your posts
or not?

And such is life....valueable information lost because a thread had gone ary. Imagine where we would be had the same thing not happened to the Romans and the Egyptians....we could be banging balls with the mutants on planet X! :mad:

I'm guessing it was the something something apology to KT and MS thread. Did we lose any valuable info? I hadn't clicked that thread in a few days.
 
This is my last post on this thread.
I am hurting bad.I do not wish to see anymore of that.I hope the wounds will heal fast and every one involved will reconcile their differences.I hope last night`s incident may change the environment of the this board for good.
I started the thread with the intention of making the board go thru some INTROSPECTION and change for better.That is all for now
Vagabond........ likes passionate debates but NOT the debates with mean spirited,hatefull,insulting comments.
 
It still remains to be seen if the person involved makes the apology. I admire the person that was the target of the bad word. She could have reacted by escalating the fight and she didn't do that. Like I said in the deleted thread, I am not one to be passing along pointers for internet forum ettiquette, but I do believe there was line crossed last night. In the future take it to Alt.Sport.Pool or Rec.Sport.Billiard. They are unmonitored, no holds barred fourms where you can say and do whatever you'd like. If you decide to fight here in a moderated forum you run the risk of the post being deleted (which sucks for those of us who enjoy a good flame war every now and then) or you can be banned.

The person that made that remark has a reputation of saying things that contradict her character. Yes, she hijacks a lot of threads and leads them off topic, and this upsets a lot of people. Is it trolling? I think to a certain extent, it is. Is it intentional? Probably. Please don't forget that she has feelings and if you intentionally go out of your way to exploit that you may get more than you expected. That is what happened last night. I know, I've been in her situation many times. I think it built and built and built and finally she let it out. So what? She's human.

Marissa, its just words on a screen. If you say something like that, you'll get what you got last night. You should expect that. You should also expect that you will lose friends, and that people will expose negative things and feelings about you that they have harboring for a while. In the end, you gain negativity - something that you said that you use as fuel. I think last night you received a full tank - but at what price?
 
As AZB Turns, yesterdays "episode" turned ugly. That thread was a good example of what not to post. There are those that must I suppose and its not just one person, its several. THINK before you post, as I see all to often people "just react". It happens everywhere, work, business, customers, driving down the road etc.

As I mentioned in the deleted thread, most guys know that a nuclear pre-launch checklist must be completed prior to using the c word in anger. It's the word of mass destruction.

I’m not saying most women don’t know, just I have had limited conversations with women on proper use of the word.

I am a water sign and I supported the air sign at the end of the thread. Perhaps the Earth in my moon brings a side of compassion to my Sun ;) :p
