latest chalk not sticking

For those using Silver Cup, or those in poolrooms that have Silver Cup and another brand of chalk as well, NEVER mix Silver Cup and say Masters together. It is guaranteed to create miscues!

FWIW, a friend gave me a piece of Blue Diamond chalk a month or so ago and it is some pretty good stuff.....
 
This may sound crazy but do you scuff your tip from time to time? Glazed tips won't chalk well no matter what you use.

its included in pill bottles like vitemins, is also in bags of beef jerky, and boxes that toys and stuff come in.

i think the one i use came out of a centrum bottle....

as an alternitive to baking and serving it up with a nice lemon garnish, keep it stored in a piece of tupperware with one of those little cappsule things they tell you not to eat thats in pill bottles or those bags of beans in packaging. i think its called silca or something? anyway, that stuff is designed to draw moisture out of stuff and works really well.

and fyi. masters and triangle are both made by tweeten, silver cup is its own company and blue diamond by longoni.

So, I got some silica stuff, put it into a tupperware dish with the chalk, how many days before it's good, and have you done this before?

i have not used this method to dry out chalk that got moist no, but this is how i store my extra chalk and it does a great job of keeping it from absorbing up the humidity in the GA air.

for already moist chalk, i would recomend the other guys method of sticking it in the oven on 250 or so for like 10-20 min to evaporate out the existing moisture quickly, and use the silica for storing your other cubes.
