Looking to get a lathe to do basic repairs like shaftcleaning, retipping and maybe linen wraps. Best functioning for the money? Thanks in advance.

MidAmericaPool has a really nice, well made, starter kit available at their website.

Cuesmith also has basic packages and more elaborate builds for your longer term needs.

Cheers and good luck !

saw this at the expo, and it seems like a good tool if you're only interested in doing tips, shaft cleaning and maybe a ferrule. I have no personal experience owning or using it, however I saw Jude change 100+ tips with the thing over the weekend without issue so that tells me it at least works haha.

and you definitely can't go wrong with hightower (cuesmith) or unique products (cue companion)
