Lathe Jig for 3/8-10 and 5/16-14

Could anyone give me general directions for making a lathe jig. I'd like to start trying to make some joint protectors strictly as a hobby for the 30+ cues I currently have. Not trying to make any kind of profit here. I just like playing with wood.... (that sounds wonderful huh!)

I've actually got a bunch of projects going now like a fancy dart backboard... jewelery box.... learning how to laminate wood... learning how do flooring with high grade woods like bocote and zebra (zebra is a b*tch because it's so damn hard). I guess I have visions of granduer but I have the tools so I might as well enjoy them. Eventually I want to make all of my own players for my house for friends and family to use (again, I don't want to make money off of it. I already have a good career that I'm not leaving)

So, if anyone could give me some helpful hints,,, I would REALLY appreciate it. I already have most of the supplies I believe to include the JP pins. :D

Lathe jig?
 
if that is something that doesn't really exist, let me know. I'm just trying to figure out how to make simple joint protectors so I can better my knowledge and eventually, turn out a jointed cue. I like to tinker a lot and I'm sure I could figure it out but it never hurts to ask for some helpful hints.
