Hello out there...I'm really interested in cue building, but at the moment lack the tone to be as involved as I'd like...granted, i knew relatively little, but i would really like to be able to clean shafts, put in tips, possibly try see different tapers on shafts, etc...so could anyone give me ideas of a good lathe to start out small with...not really sure where to start looking ...thanks in advance for all the help.... there is no way to start out cheap, as you cannot do quality work with cheap equipment, sorry.
google " cueman billiards " look at his website, ask him questions, save your money and when you can afford a lathe he will be your best bet.

It doesn't necessarily have to be cheap...i just only have a finite amount of time i can devote, so no need to go buy a huge set up that won't ever get used...i just needed to know where to look for an appropriate lathe to suit my purposes. Thanks for the direction ...
