Pedro lost a close match to Diaz and plays Forthomme at 5 AM PST tomorrow. If Pedro wins, he still has a chance. Hugo was humiliated by Choi and plays Sanchez tomorrow at 11 AM PST. Even if he wins, he has virtually no shot at advancing.

Amazing quarter finals

Filipos KASIDOKOSTAS is shining by beating Blomdahl,

Tayfun Tasdemir loose to Eddy Leppens after knocking the number one Dick JASPERS,

Marcos kicks out the belgium Frederic CAUDRON, and Eddy MERCKS wins against forthomme.

First let me say I'm a pool player. I had the chance to be there and it was my first 3C event I have ever seen live . It was absolutely amazing ! Every match I saw was absolutely thrilling from the beginning untill the end! I am very impressed with the professionalism and the mastering of these players. The atmospher was so great in the Arena.

Finally, in the ceremony suddenly they call The Maestro, in person, Raymond Ceulemans to give the medal to the winner! It was incredible! The legend was there ! I even was able to talk to him after the ceremony and have a picture with him... ;) IT WAS GREAT !
 
Filipos Kasidostas becomes the new World Champion 3-band beating the Belgian Eddy Merckx in 4 sets: 11/15 - 15 / 8 - 15/13 - 15 / 3.

The young Greek finally won the title after two final defeats in 2003 and 2004 against Semih Sayginer and Dick Jaspers.

Already Junior World Champion in 2004, is the first major international victory of Kasidokostas in the senior category, and what a victory: the supreme title.
