I was looking for some 13mm layered tips, Everest and Moori, but soon found out that you can't get them. In fact the only layered tips I saw available in 13mm were made by Sterling.

14mm seems to be the standard, buy this size or don't buy at all.

Do they just not make them or are they a special order or something?

that size is made,

and some dealers have them. I have ordered 14 mm mooris and gotten 13's. I prefer the 14 to cover most customers needs, but there are definitely 13 and even 12's out there. I think it is best to install an oversize tip and then trim it to the ferrule myself, but you need some equipment, like a lathe. But, in light of the cost of the tip, why not have a pro install it, get it trimmed right and not risk messing it up? I do advise against those tools that cut the mushrooming off a tip, they can twist a layer of a laminated tip and make it seperate. It is best to trim it on a lathe with a very sharp tool, or by hand with a keen razor and a lot of patience!

Unless this is something completely new, genuine Moori and Everest tips are made 14mm only.
